  • Has there ever been a stronger squad...

In the championship than this one?
i can only think of Newcastle the year they went straight back up with Barton , Carroll, Nolan, Taylor, Simpson etc.. But this Rs squad is stronger for me all over, our defence is by far the strongest in this league . really with no serious injury's this squad should win this league .

Agree with the exception of our strikers who are only 2.1 strikers.

I really cant see (other than serious injuries or suspensions) how this squad will not run away with this league, its so much stronger than teams around it. We already had the best back line, keeper and defence , now we have added real quality, no team near us.

And the international break gives them another week to gel and practice together, the future's bright.....
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

                  2015/2016, average at best.....

                  2016/2017, same old, same old....

                  2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

Also, you cannot underestimate the psychological effect this will have on other teams.

Many say that teams will be itching to beat us - but if Leeds last week was anything to go by then many will be nervous as hell.

Yes your Bournemouth's of the world may throw caution to the wind in pursuit of an upset - but most teams will be bricking themselves over the prospect of a tonking in front of their home fans....... Or coming to Loftus Road and getting the treatment.

The only thing apart from injuries and an unforeseen breakdown in team spirit that will scupper us - is the very real prospect of most teams playing against us with 11 on the goal line..........

Without stating the obvious... this squad is better than the one we had last 2 seasons in the prem.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                      Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

Great squad on paper. But as we all know, games aint played on paper, and this is rangers we are talking about. We really do need Charlie to start scoring one every other game.

Difference is that squad barely knew each other at the start of the season, lost their first game 0-5 and were still looking for a win at this point last year (and would wait a lot longer before getting one). Last night added a bit more quality to a side at the top of the Championship, with a W4 D1 L0 record. Nothing 'on paper' about this squad, the core of it is already delivering on the pitch.

Its a premier league squad in the Championship, sure there will be some shock results, that happens in all our leagues , its what makes our football more exciting than other more predictable leagues around the world. Still saying though this is a squad that has to win this league as it stands.

We're never good after a break, if we can deal with Brum then we really can start putting points between us and the others
