Not good enough for Marseille? He played week in/week out and was by all accounts on of the best players last season. Hence Marseille have tried to buy him permanently.
And you call other people clueless? Deary me.

Barton was uneventful at Marseille, the French League is poor, and Marseille wouldn't even make it in the top 6 in the Premier League, but you keep telling yourself that he was their best player and they were begging him to stay.
No player is bigger than the club, Barton doesn't make QPR, QPR make Barton. He should be grateful we're paying him the money we are because NO CLUB in the world would be prepared to pay that kind of money on such a mediocre footballer.Last edited by Marshy; 02-09-2013, 02:21 PM.

In fairness, Marshy makes some very good points in his posts above.
I agree with the posters who point out that he's been very good so far this season and would be a massive loss, but I think he's wanted out all summer to be honest. Fair play if he gets his move to Marseille.
Personally, I think he's going, if not gone already. Up to Redknapp to find a replacement now either on a perm or loan.

Your second line is opinion not fact. I also did not say they begged him to stay. I merely pointed out they bid for him permanently. If you have to make stuff up to give your posts credibility then you are going to look a little silly.
Third line is zzzzzzzzzzzzz and makes little sense. Much like most of your waffle.

All I will say is that you need to analyse the game more critically, don't believe the mumbo-jumbo that we are where we are because of Barton, 11 Bartons wouldn't get us promoted, we are where we are because of the whole team starting to gel together, and there are players who are more crucial to us than Barton. If Barton went, it would make no difference to our challenge whatsoever, we still have Diakite, manage him properly and he will be a more than adequate replacement.

Unfortunately, a lot of people have short memories, and the moment a player has a few bad games, he becomes rubbish, which is what has happened with Diakite.
Remember when Barton got cheered-ed off for being substituted? Why? Because he was playing sh*te. And now you reckon he's the greatest DM ever to have played for us - hahaha.
Just goes to show how some football fans are, forming their opinion on a handful of games.
