I reckon each teams managers get 2 appeals per half. This would not break up to much play, create some drama and , most importantly , get the right outcome.
The right outcome is extremely important and should not be sacrificed on the altar of controversy!
The key is finding a way to use technology where it does not slow down the game. In the NFL there are 5 seconds of action followed by a natural break of 30-40 seconds anyway (and they claim that our football is boring!), so it works there. I think it could work for football too, but how to use it would need to be thought through carefully. I'm not really in favour of challenges; I'd prefer that the refs decide when to use technology. There is a natural break every time a penalty is given, so that would be a great time to use it! Also after a goal is scored that may or may not have been offside!
The biggest barrier is that introducing it won't make FIFA's cronies richer.
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

For things like offside goals there is a natural break in the game to as obviously the ball has gone in the net and you could argue from the goal being ruled out to the free kick being taken 30 or 40 secs passes easily by the time players argue with the ref etc and players take there positions
We seem to have breaks now if a player goes down for whatever reason ie kick the ball out of play, so I don't think a short tv analysis will slow things down at all.
Would also have been interesting to see if Atwell had blown for a Pen on Nedum had Hill not put the ball away as he was manhandled to the ground by there defender
Barton was comfortably kept onside by not one player but two so for the flag to go up was beyond belief it was not even close
Lino was lucky it never cost us points
Lino fuc ked up big time and if its that close the attacker should get the vote. I waa ready to slip one up him and I am not even gay that's how I would of felt if hills goal didn't come
