  • We can still get better

To beat both Leeds and Bolton away from home is superb!! Like Harry, I still genuinely feel like we haven't filled our potential but we're still getting results which is incredible. Surely Austin will improve and Hoilett will tear defenses apart. I'm over the moon!!!! COME ON YOU SUPER HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS!!!

Charlie will start scoring soon, I'm sure. Hoilett is back, with Phillips to come. Barton can knock the ball about very well most of the time. We have the foundations of a very good team, or should that be a quality team

These players still have to gel, only played a handful of games together so I feel we will get much stronger as the season goes on.

      I feel so proud again.

All true and I expect to see improvements in the play over the next couple months.

But it is also true that theres been no real injuries and everyone is fully fit and raring to go bright eyed and bushy tailed which wont last over 46 games.

So if the target is top 2 - still need to strengthen, 3-5 players, something like that imo - maybe more loans than anything.

Still not played any of the other 6 sides in the top 7 so no time for complacency. That said we are improving game by game.

If we need 4-5 players, how many do you think the other teams need? Any team could turn round and say "we need 4-5 new players", even Man U and Arsenal. But its just being greedy. What other club in this division has a better squad of players? Another striker wd be v handy, other than that think we are sorted. Who else in this division cd keep Jenas and Hoilet on the bench until the closing stages and not use Diakite, Traore or Caesar?

I would honestly be more then happy with just Defoe. Yeah I know that's a massive ask, but I reckon that would be enough to ensure promotion.

I would rather loans in, unless they are players that can play with us in the EPL.

Personally can't see us getting Defoe (much as I wd love him) but if for instance Stoke got Defoe and we got Crouch I can't see many teams competing with us. Odemwinge is prob prem bound but he wd also fit the bill.

Hoilett is just coming back from injury otherwise he'd have been first choice. The Barton/Henry midfield seems to be working so why change it?

How many CBs do you think we have? Who is cover for Simpson, and I don't mean using Ned as cover? Have you seen how many players have been moved on and how many we've brought in?

Sorry, but I think our defence needs some back ups, and I'd also get a first choice LB because I'd move Traore to LM as cover for Hoilett.

We're not even out of second gear.

We also appear have an imposing presence in the minds of our opposition. You could see it today - Leeds were pretty much bricking it.

As long as we keep our own heads together, the team sticks together, and we have a bit of luck - then we have an extremely high chance of going back up.

Rob Green could do with some plaudits as well imo. He has been outstanding.

If both Hoilett and Matt Phillips play, we will be big threat on both sides and Austin will get the services to score.

Didn't you say at the start of the summer that the squad was good enough to win the championship too? Well 17 players have left since then. The first team is hardly recognisable.

Either way the guy entrusted by the club with delivering results is talking about 1 or 2 or 3-4 etc. He knows better than you or I about what it takes - because he has done it before. But even if he hadn't the players he has brought in have delivered exactly what he said they would and put smiles on faces. Cheap as chips too. Cant see a reason to put the brakes on now that things are starting to move forward, wage bill and squad size is far lower so there is room for a few more.
