Apparently, when he left Brighton he said that he would like to finish his career there.
When he played for West Ham against them in the Championship a couple of years back, the Brighton fans pretty much cheered everything he did. (I assume he did things then). A bit like the Lee Cook scenario when he came back to LR with Charlton.
Very popular down here. They even named a road after him.

they named a road in nottingham after mackie.....
Its a dead end!!
He is still highly regarded by Brighton fans and so it ios no surprise that this is doing the round on Twitter.
Yet somehow I doubt that this is likely to happen (if it did, he'd propbably rediscover his form just as Helguson did when QPR sent him back on loan to Watford).
I feel sorry for Zamora to be honest. The biggest part of his game for his whole career has been his ability to hold the ball up, bring people into play and his aerial prowess. This injury is hindering him from all of those things lately leaving him pretty much ineffective. It's a shame really, when he was scoring at the beginning of last season, his all around play was quality.
I agree that his current form is down to his injury problems which is why I think he should have gone in for his op in pre-season and if he came back fit in January that would be a bonus. If not, QPR have lost nothing as he is contributing next to nothing now that he is struggling to play with his injury problems.
this rumour is spreading like wildfire down my way and im certainly fanning the flames. had a few brighton mates ask "why are you getting rid? surely he can do a job for you in the championship?"... i reply "I dont understand, he is clearly still prem class and probably the best striker in this division. His hold up play is there for all to see and he is deceptively quick for a big man. It must be for financial reasons or he has fallen out with Harry as everyone on the qpr forum are doing their nuts about this rumour"

Seems to have gone down a treat.
Keepup the good work mate.
Interestingly though, (worrying even), is that there is not a single mention of this on northstandchat.
It's not on NSC as it's not happening, and the Brighton fans I know only want him back in a year or so, to sit on the bench. He's not starting above Ulloa and Mackail-Smith and they've seemingly want to keep Barnes so there is no room for him.
