Can't see that happening at all, sounds like Twitter nonsense!
Even if they were daft enough to look beyond his obvious injuries and poor form infront of goal, they wouldn't be daft enough to part with anything like what it would take to pay his wage, as such we'd still be payrolling him anyway!
