  • Harriman

Extended to a season loan at Gillingham today.

Personally think this is a mistake and we are seriously lacking in quality defensive cover across the whole back 4.

Of course it's only a local online paper but Martin Allen has been quoted so I guess it will be announced soon. (apologies if cannot link - not very technical here!)

Good shout! I think it's a good move for Harriman if HR isn't sure about him in the Championship. With Gills he will play most of the games and add experience..

If there's a recall then it's okay but I personally feel he should of been aloud the chance to come into the side when injurys happened etc. Should of been a big year for him but Harry doesn't really support youngsters too well
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

On Gillingham's official website it says that he was signed as an emergency loan on 6 August, but nothing official regarding season long loan yet. Don't think this has anything to do with us announcing another defender as at most he would only have figured as an occasional sub this season.

Also still not sure if in the Championship we can recall him if necessary.

                Agree totally.

From what I've seen he is a much more complete fullback than Yun. Why not have Harriman in the squad as fullback cover instead? Danny Simpson is more than capable of playing on either side if required.

I'd like to see him given a chance here.

The thing with Harriman is he's only 20, so being able to play week-in week-out is probably central to his development at this stage. Unless Simpson picks up a season-ending injury he wasn't going to get much game time. Hopefully there's a recall clause in the event that does happen. Baird (assuming we sign him), Henry and Onuoha can all cover there though.

Maybe Chris Baird is FINALLY going to sign?
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

So then, we need cover for Simpson, we need a first choice LB, and we need two more CBs IMO.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

We need a commanding midfielder on top of that. A creative one.

                              Our defensive options are now:

Traore (I'd move him to LM ), Yun, Hill, Dunne, Onouha, Ehmer, Simpson.
