Damn I thought this was Samba Diakite. Best of luck to Chris Samba arguably the most important bit of business QPR have made this summer, 12million & then signing Austin for 4m & Phillips for 5m maybe wouldn't of happened without a stupid rich Russian club involved
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Isn't there a UEFA directive that says a player can't play for more than 2 sides in a calendar year (unless they have been sent on loan)?

Exactly. Maybe he hasn't kicked a ball for Anzhi since his return? Can't be arsed to check either haha.

            3 sides, not 2.

I was wrong, below is a quote from the Fifa transfer regulations. It doesn't apply in his case because the English & Russian seasons overlap, he's only actually played for 2 sides in 1 given season which is ok.

Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs. As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in official matches for a third club during the relevant season, provided he has fully complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs. Equally, the provisions relating to the registration periods (article 6) as well as to the minimum length of a contract (article 18 paragraph 2) must be respected.

If a club goes into admin that rule may not apply, otherwise those players would be in limbo. Don't know whether анжй are classed as being in admin though.

I actually feel sorry for Chris Samba. I know that he did not play very well when he was here, but he wasn't fit and did not really get a chance. I really believe he felt that moving back to Russia was in the best interests of our Club. I do not think he really wanted to leave and would have been quite happy to stay and play in the Championship.

I think we are all agreed that there was something weird about this transfer and I never really believed he was being paid the amounts which were being suggested.
