Buzsaky and Rowlands didnt miss 18 months of football with the same injury, then need further operations years later to treat the supposedly healed problem.

he openly admits hes been suffering with the same knee since he got injured in 2006....

there are several methods of treating dodgy knees such as building up surrounding leg muscles to lessen the strain but if after 3 years he's still needing clean-ups they're clearly not having the desired effect

sorry cannot agree with that...Andy Cole proved that.

As for Lee Cook....his had his clean up op so think he will come back stronger......you have clean ups because the 1st op was crap....so hence his lack of form.

Pete, you are making out that many Rangers fans WANT him to be finished. We never saw the real Lee Cook last season and because of the seriousness of his knee injuries over the last 3 years many people assumed that perhaps his injuries had taken their toll. Any true QPR fan would dearly love to see the Lee Cook of old terrorising right backs at LR once again, he is a QPR legend.

He's young enough, so I think he'll get back to form. It has been so obvious since he came back that he's just not been right.

...Still, I wonder if everyone who kept telling us this injury was not serious and the recovery time from the op was a couple of weeks will hold their hands up and admit they were wrong.

          No?

          Thought not...

Lets see what he can do this season when/ if fully fit before anyone rushes to any judgements. Meanwhile, we should all wish him well.

                  Our fans have short memories.

Cannot wait for him to prove some supporters wrong, more importantly sure he cannot wait either.

i'm sorry but the word legend is far too widely used these days, and maybe that reflects on the state the club has been in since hannibal and nookie bear ruined us in the early nineties.cook had one good season for us in mostly an average side compared to now,i hope he comes back like the original cook but i fear that he wont.
what the hell was god thinking of when he thought of hamsters?

MY refering to Cookie as a legend bigade is not down to 1 solitary season as you put it, it is down to the signing on fee he 'apparently' waived when joining Foolham in order to keep the club he loves afloat. For me that intitles you to legend status whether you like it or not.

add me to the list - never been the same since Walton done him - was good business when we sold him - never really felt we missed him - feel that if we're really serious (by that i mean the board) about where we're going we need players of a much higher calibre and that doesn't just mean Cookie !
