We have three chances at winning silverware this season and that's one of them gone, under the most inauspcious circumstances. I would have thought that every QPR fan would be as royaly p!ssed off as I am today.

I want us to win every match but if I could choose between a cup triumph at Wembley or promotion into the BPL (Boring Premier League), I'd take the cup triumph in a New York second.

perhaps we are moaning because we are fed up with such lethargic performances in cup ties, especially in home games against lower league opponents that quite frankly wont be anywhere near to winning promotion.
the players played the game at s snail's pace and clearly looked like they couldn't be bothered.

judging from Kevin Bond's comments, after the game, it would seem that the players were told not to take too many chances on picking up an injury.
I think that next season if drawn at home, the tickets should be sild at £5 and £1 concesssions.

quite clearly a trip to wembley is no where near as important as a place in the top flight to the owners and from their position its totally understandable. a cple of signings and we'll win this division and this game will be long forgotton.

I hear ya and I can't disagree. But I ask two questions to be answered from memory:
1. Who did we beat to win the League Cup in 1967 and what was the score?
2. Much more recently, who did we beat to clinch promotion in 1983 and what was the score?

Now, which is more important today: promotion or the League Cup win?

QPR's victory caused a problem for the Football Association as typically the League Cup winner would qualify for the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, but one of the criteria for that competition was that the team must come from the highest tier of that country's league system. QPR was replaced in the following season's European competition by a First Division side.

I think it's because we as fans expected a fresh start and thought this was the year things were going to change.

This loss was like nothing has changed and it feels like we're still stuck in that same mud and we're never going to get out, it feels like quick sand.

as a bit of an older fan i'd take a cup win just to see us get something for the fans but a promotion is greater money wise and is more important in the long run.

I can't blame people who moan about it because our cup run has been really disastrous in the couple of years. We always get humiliated but lower league sides. I mean even goal marin is more than one. Notice most of those results are at Loftus Road.

I actually think 75% of this message boards members are R's fans. The rest are just trolls or opinionated armchair fans. I'd go as far as saying I've probably seen more games in a season than some on here have seen in a lifetime yet they still believe their opinion is the all high and mighty. Only at Rangers.

The guys that whinge on here about losing a cup game to Swindon obviously haven't been supporting us that long or maybe just not supporting us properly. If they had been proper fans for any length of time then they'd remember that things have been a lot worse not that long ago.

I don't like losing and I get what people are saying about forking out a lot of money to see a half ars*d performance but I would argue then they should save their money for league games. Our cup record is and always has been god awful, also I think you'd be silly to think that Harry or the board could care less about the League Cup.

Before I escaped to the sandpit I travelled up and down the country to see us play in League 2 and the Championship and I can promise you that I've travelled a hell of a lot further to see worse than what was turned out on Tuesday night.........that said a season ticket was probably a few hundred quid cheaper back then!

Sunderland away on a Wednesday and Tuesday night - 2011 & 2012 respectively. Barnsley on a freezing cold Tuesday night 2011. Exeter on a Tuesday night 2009. Even Grimsby on a freezing cold Tuesday night 1992 (League Cup match).
