2 very decent signings in the Championship, no doubt at all about that. I think that Harry did over-egg the pudding a bit when he said "Mind Blowing" signings though!

Whilst I know I'm wasting my time as I type, for the last time please someone post up where Harry said he would sign these players that would blow minds? There is a huge difference between what has been interpreted and what he actually said - I am trying to sign players that would blow peoples minds does not mean done deals, shirts in the air, playing at the weekend so much as players he has enquired about/tried to sign (including bids made atc) and would like to bring in

A question for the righteous board members. Let's say Defoe ended up down here. Now I'm not saying he will and it's obviously very very unlikely he will for all the obvious reasons. But just in case, let's say the only reason he would sign would be because of Harry. That to me says he wants to play for the manager, not the Club. How would that fit with the ethical stance adopted regarding mercenaries and the like (just thinking of the quotes regarding players like Parker/Hooper - stuff 'em if they don't want to play for Rangers etc).
Just curious to know what people feel. And before anyone says it won't happen in a million years, I'm inclined to agree but as Dazzer mentioned, Bellamy broke the mold not so long back.

You are right of course but it is much more convenient for posters to keep referring to the misquote as it usually suits their latest moan.

If we sign more players who are they going to replace in the team? We need another striker, but would he actually replace either Austin or AJ unless they are injured. I think both Austin and AJ have done ok for us so far.
