  • Lets be realistic

The squad we have is OK, but we have no creativity and no real pace in the team (Hoiliet excluded). It seems the plan is to bully our way back in the Premier league......our defence is at least full of strong/tough defenders, but I can't see it working. I have no real expectations apart from the fact that it is nice to win some games for a change.

couldnt agree more mark....think hoillett and matty phillips will inject something into our forward play which with zamora at the healm is non existant!

No doom and gloom monger but I have got a really bad feeling hoillett will be gone to stoke. Think Phillips was purchased cos harry knows that.

Why, they just borrowed that winger from Pool we're looking at? I'm not at all convinced that Stoke is interested in Hoilett..

Time will tell, I've seen it written about in the papers etc, and I just have this nagging feeling that its going to happen. Can't see us keeping him for a couple of reasons. Like I say though, its ONLY a feeling.

Whats going on here. 1 loss in a cup and now we have people coming out of the woodwork saying our team isn't good enough. New season and a fresh start everyone. We had good reasons to moan in last couple season but now its about rebuilding. Until they prove otherwise, lets have some optimism (and a loss against Swindon is not proof enough)!!!!!!!!!!

When is Hoilett expected to recover from injury?

Interesting, but what you have to remember is that this is championship football. There is no real quality team in this league it is just very competitive and a lot of games (46). When we was promoted we never had a great team then, just a fantastic team spirit and people that wanted to do well for the club and warnock.

I honestly think this team isn't really any different except we have a lot more will power with leaders on the pitch and also IMO I think we are 2/3 players short of a top team.

We are unbeaten and look much better than before.

Completely agree. A massive overreaction to one defeat . As for creativity have another look at the goal that beat Bolton.

I know its crazy. 1 defeat in a cup that we wouldn't win yet thats the end of the whole season.

You might as well crown Nott Forrest Champions now as they have already won it . *rolls eyes*

Cos Wigan lost to bourbemouth should we not worry about them now? How about reading are they not title challengers anymore as they lost to Peterborough 6-0!
Get a grip - was a bad night that's all - would still take out squad over most!!

Not over-reacting, just stating facts.....didnt even see the Swindon game but we were pretty poor against Bolton and won mostly because of Beckfords and Ngogs poor finishing.......at Huddersfield we looked ordinary and we were lucky against Sheff Wed.........just calling it as it is.....I just dont want to get too overexcited by our average team....and dont forget no Taarabt this season like we had when we won the league and we have no one close to his creativity (yet)!

that's about how I see the season so far too. as for not having had any quality last time around in this league... Adel Taarabt orchestrated many wins with his skill and eye for goal. and when Routledge joined on losn QPR had even more quality to win tight games.
QPar need to add one ir two more players who can provide pace and creativity in order to stand out from the likes of Reading Watford, Forest, Wigan, Bolton Leeds Middlesboro and others. if not, it will be a long hard season and probably end in disapointment
