  • Barton's just snubbed Crystal Palace...

    His own words on twitter...

    'Nope...'

'They tried but its not the right move for me and my family right now. Hope they stay up as I like Holloway.'

    Straight from the horses mouth.

Someone asked him on his twitter account...

He said they had come in for him however he is not interested as it wouldnt be a good move for him and his family.

Personally think he cant go anywhere really...

Based on the fact he wanted a move to France so badly, yet he didnt go because the wages couldnt be met. Tells me that he wants too much still..

Palace cannot afford Joey... Not many teams will be able to.

The question is, can he stay? If Cesar goes, Joey's wage profile at the club would be like The Matterhorn among the Cotswolds. If dressing room harmony is to be maintained can one player be seen to be earning substantially more than everybody else?

I think he is popular with the players, especially the new ones. He obviously gets on well with Charlie Austin and both Rob Green and Richard Dunne have a good report with him. Danny Simpson knows him well and has said a number of nice things about him.

Would be amazed if they wanted him tbh
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Would love Joey to stay, obviously sees us as a better prospect than palace? But think if a descent Prem team comes in he will leave but hope not?

People keep going on about what the oikes of Barton and SWP are on, but at least they're contributing and have been playing well. What about Luke Young who was also signed in that "free cash" period, is also an ex England player and must be on very high wages also if his agent is any good, yet he's been nowhere near the first team for ages....
