I'd then look at bringing in a loan striker, someone like Becchio.
Yeah, but as per my comment above, he's been in a side that have got relegated 2 years running and by default must have been shocking, so how many chances would they have created for him....??? Especially as before last season they lost all their creative players such as Jarvis, and the other winger who's name escapes me, not to mention Fletcher.

Nowhere near it. Have you been on here over the summer?

True but I still think Wells would be a better signing, for now and the future.

There are rumours of several premiership teams being interested but so far nothing seems to have happened. He has been looking for a transfer since the end of last season and every time it fails to happen at the last minute. Swansea were interested but that seems to have stalled and now Cardiff and Stoke are apparently interested. I just have a feeling that none of the premiership's interest will succeed and on Monday he might finish up outside of the gates at Loftus Road.

I think you and Shania have hit the nail on the head.

Agree I don't rate crouch at all, on Motd they said he hasn't scored in 38 games............

Crouch scored against us in one of the last games of last season - that wasnt 38 games ago was it !!?

Crouch would be more of a target man for assists than a goalscorer. Still would offer more than Bobby Zamora.

Kevin Doyle? Not for me, Sharpe really is a top target for me, also having thought about it Wells seems a good target. As for Crouch, I think he's a seriously good target too but I would prefer younger players
                    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                    And many more mistakes

Would be a great signing. He IS one of them who wants to play here, that´s for sure(If the money is right). Hopefully, he has kept his form during his protest against West Brom.

I'm not really sure that Zamora should be our benchmark right now. Personally I'd probably pick Yousef upfront instead of Zamora on current form.

Nakhi Wells or Billy Sharpe for me........both better options than a couple of strikers on big wages that used to be good a few years back!

....getting to the point that a lump of concrete would be more effective than Zamora
