Blackpool manager Paul Ince says he is frustrated to lose winger Matt Phillips but understands why they had to sell him to QPR.

The Scotland international signed a four-year deal at Loftus Road after making over 100 appearances for Blackpool since joining from Wycombe in 2010.

yep, read that on news now. good to see that ince rated him highly and was gutted to see him leave.

we have got a very good young player with creativity now.

Well the Blackpool fans on there forum don't seem bothered that he's gone,most said over rated and only shone now and again and if they have got 5 mil they are delighted at the business,or is it just sour grapes ???

well, i would say sour grapes but if you take their point of view, he had no intention of staying hence any possible dip in preformance.

personally think he is quality and so do quite a few clubs over the last two years who tried to sign him.

most fans react like that when a player leaves......they suddenly become overrated over night.........we're like it as well.

I think we could have got him for 1 or 2 million by the sounds of it.

No other bids came in for him and he only had a year left, they had to sell in this window.

newspapers said 5mil where as the club saying it was an undisclosed fee. no one really knows how much we paid.

In fairness, I don't think he will add that much to your squad considering some of the wingers and forwards you already have.

He is quick on his feet, makes great runs, has a good delivery on him, and can often rotate and play in the middle of the pitch. Shame we sold him, we really lack a pacey winger now besides Ince.

We are lacking in quality on the wing with Hoilett out.

SWP is a shadow of the player he once was as well.

Think Phillips will slot in ahead of him with Hoilett on the other wing.
