i think some times we all get caught in the looking back at our history wearing the old rose tinted glasses! even when we had some of our best teams we ground out results, but i really would like a swaggering ball playing hooped maverick in our team as i said before its in our blood as rangers fans!LONDON CALLING TO THE ZOMBIES OF DEATH.... ALSO KNOW AS BRENTFORD FANS

Ahhh the Venables era... Love it as I left boarding school in 82 and still remember some of the adjectives used in the articles sent to me from my parents in Kent(in Devon R's never got any coverage/regional stuff etc)... Sophisticated was one description that always springs to mind.... Gregory was like a Rolls Royce back then.... Super Simon Stainrod was the business.... Great days.... Nee halcyon times.....U R's

more like the old arsenal..... the problem is that quality wise we now have to cut according to cloth. Adel for example was exceptional in the championship, goals aplenty from midfield and the ability to consistently take opponents out of the game. Townsend was another who had the ability to run at the opposition and Remy was sharpish up top. You can not replace that kind of class - and all three would be class acts at this level - with journeymen and expect us to cut sides to ribbons. Which does make you wonder whether or not offering out to both Adel and Remy may not prove a more expensive option than hanging onto one of them.

I'm sure this is meant to be taken with a pinch of salt...George graham turned arsenal into a 6 trophy in 8 seasons, top flight, European cup (winners cup) winners ( defeating asprilla, Zola, brolin) and we've got 7 points from 9 in the championship...
