Park is still a QPR player, and so Madara has every right to post about him. I see the mods have now created a "loaned player" thread, so I guess that's where he should be posting about Park now, although Madara might argue that not many people read that thread and so his posts aren't getting the exposure they deserve.

I think the "conflict" arises because the concept of following a player is alien to most British fans whereas it seems popular for foreigners. I think one thing we should do is respect people who follow a club for a player, yesterday I was talking to a guy at work, we discussed football for the first time, and he said he used to support Man Utd but now supports Fulham, and then he said "I'm not from this country so I don't have a love for any club, I just follow Berbatov (he is Bulgarian)", and I sat there thinking "fair play to him", I mean, if I move to Africa and an England player starts playing there, I would probably follow that player rather than a club.

That said, I don't think Madara does himself any favours by arguing about Park all the time.

No, just giving my opinion on this thread as I hadn't posted on it yet, sorry if I offended anyone.

It had all blown over then you decide to make a thread and drag this one back up.

            Wise?

We are interested in our team not players. Please feel free to post about players, but only players who are currently playing for QPR.

Also Re: Bon's comments. I thought Park only signed a two year contract, in which case it ends at the end of the season. Don't understand why he is on loan because he won't return to Rangers at the end of the season. Can only think it is because we are paying part of his wages.

Nothing wrong with any of that post.

Common sense should dictate that we should be a little more welcoming to foreign fans, just as they too have a responsibility to at least attempt to fit in.

Perhaps Northolt just didn't want to be reminded of the other threads.

Its boring seeing the same threads over and over now

And the whole thing had just died down as well. You have to question someone's motive for signing up to drag it on...

to be honest I am with, in principal, Madara and Joon.

There is absolutely no reason why they should not post about a current QPR player who happens to be out on loan. Let's face it, the club themselves do via the Loan Ranger articles. I'd also like to say respect to them both for holding up their side of the argument in a reasoned and dignified way, despite the increasing agitation and increased hostility of some towards them. Ultimately, they are right - if you don't like it, don't click on it I guess.

The issue here is probably a combination of the wording of the thread title, combined with most of QPR's fan base feeling of the utter disappointment of the player in a QPR shirt, and now complete apathy towards him. At worst Madara misjudged this and hence posted something that unfortunately irritated a large portion of the forum membership. However, that is neither a crime nor was it probably intentional.

If the thread had been entitled: Loan Ranger update: Park and had been worded slightly less enthusiastically / in a more neutral manner - it possibly wouldn't have ignited quite the level of response it seemingly has, for example.

At the risk of the wrath of the board, I was fine with actually reading it. Park is still officially a player, if he's out on loan and playing well that can only be a good thing - and even if he didn't contribute much on the pitch - his profile in Asia has contributed to QPR to some level.

                      /dons tin hat !
