Best all round if he stays at PSV until he decides to call it a day.

Really is no benefit to us other than for global branding.

Best of luck to the bloke in his final days as a professional footballer.

Have to say out of sheer curiousity, I had to see the actual video to believe it! To me it makes this bellend of a footballer even more of a P*ICK when he scores a goal like that. Even though we all say he's over and a has been it just shows hes probably not and remphasises the problems at QPR last year and this fool being one of them!!! how after he basically couldn't move round a pitch for us last season he then gets a MOM against AC Milan and then scores a swivel goal like that tonight. If he did that for QPR last season, we would all be calling for an ambulance with him actually moving so much.......

I don't think Park's a bad guy- Derry made sure to stress that he wasn't one of the "shirkers" in that farewell interview. Park's always tried, he's just not got it any more (but is still a very valuable marketing asset, and must have easily covered the costs of his transfer fee).
We'll never see Park play in a QPR shirt again though, whether we're in the championship or the premiership. He's completely insufficient for either (particularly when the players in his positions are the likes of hoillet/matty Phillips/barton/faurlin etc.).

We have to take into consideration that Park was mainly played defensively here, except for a few games. He did get second highest in assist when everyone was playing bad.

Vs Milan, he was played offensively and involved in many of their attacking moves and earning MOTM. Today he was subbed in while they were losing and was in positioned in the final third. Again he is being deployed offensively and with a free role. Park is a player who does what is asked of him by the manager.

When using him defensively you can't really expect him to score goals and create ones every game.

Madara. This time you have gone bit too far. Whats more important to us is the fact that we ve hit the top of league table due to the win v bolton.

You could mention park's news as a minor news after saying how happy you were when qpr won 1-0 against wonderers.

No he won't, there is no contract extension and he'll never play for QPR again!

I had not heard about either Park's goal or the contract extension before, but after reading this thread I went looking. After a quick google search the news article from donga.com came up. Donga Daily News is one of the three most circulated and well-established newspapers in Korea (think of it as Korea's equivalent of NYT, WSJ, LAT etc.). Here is the link to the article:
                              http://news.donga.com/Sports/3/0510/20130815/57032252/5

The article is an exclusive interview with Park's father, and it goes into a lot of detail about the loan and the actual circumstances surrounding it. Here is the outline.

                              - Park wanted more playing time at QPR or elsewhere in Europe
                              - PSV and Valencia [not named in the article but described as mid-table Italian club] wanted Park and offered him lots of playing time
                              - TF asked Park to stay at QPR, on his full salary from the previous season, but Park refused because playing time was more important to him than compensation, and he felt he would not get enough playing time at QPR this season [and Park is not the type of player that would press the manager for more time]
                              - QPR then asked Park to sign a 1-year extension to his contract and go on loan rather than a permanent transfer, and during this process TF promised to let Park go on loan to the club of his choice with no loan fee due from the loaning club if Park would agree to actively participate in QPR events, including the Air Asia event a few months ago. Park agreed and signed the 1-year extension with QPR.
                              - As it stands, Park will return to QPR after this season at PSV, whether or not QPR is promoted back to the PL.
                              - This is why Park stated in previous interviews that he may retire in "one or two more years' time"

I had come across other articles in the past weeks that Park stated that, as it stands, this season at PSV will not be his retiring season. After reading the above article, it all makes sense now. Park expects to return to QPR next season. It was also explicitly stated by his father in the interview that this is what is currently on Park's mind.

So, Park is and will be a QPR player for the next two seasons. Of course, this also leaves QPR the option of selling Park to the highest bidder if his value appreciates during this season at PSV. Good business by TF, and I'm glad to hear that Park may yet contribute to QPR.

I think that as QPR fans we should hope that Park regains his true form this season, and that he will contribute next season what he could not last season. Wish him well, he is our player.
