  • AJ take a bow

well Barton, Henry and Clint got their own freds, match winner for the second time this season, came in for some derision with his injury problems, but think he will be very important to us this season
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

Agreed. Good player and works hard. Good for us offensively and defensively. Stressing defenders so they don`t have so much time on the ball.

Work rate of Mackie but infinitely more ability imo, which includes a football brain as he is a far better link player and knows when to pass and when not to. The more he gets the odd tap in like today, or scores match winners, his confidence and belief as a goal scorer (like he was known for originally) will return and he'll start shooting more, and scoring more freely than he has for a few years. He will potentially be the difference between promotion or not. If fit he'll get 20+ this year.

I won't disagree with the above and agree that he can score quite a few at this level. my only real concern is his injury record.

hopefully he will stay fit to play 30+ games this season.

The issue with him has long been fitness, never ability. But agree he is now looking like a predator again, rather than just a link man, and that is something we have lacked for years. My worry is what happens if/ when he is injured. Given his history in the last few years personally I don't think we can rely on getting 30 games out of him.

Worried when he got substituted....we need him stressing the defenders....more pressure on us when he was off.

This. A very intelligent footballer. Plus he's highly, highly motivated. Fingers crossed he's lucky with injuries. Would be one of my first names on the team sheet every week.

But I won't mention when he should of looked up and passed to Zamora as that would just be me being pedantic

When he's played, he's looked very lively this season and already got a couple of goals. The big IF is if he can stay fit. If so, he'll get loads.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
