Silly comments about a promotional video for developing this area which 90% of you probably don't even know. The area is massive and largely inaccessible due to abandoned buildings and network rail security fencing.

A move to a new stadium would be about 6/7 years away in this area I'd imagine.

The Greater London Authority is consulting residents on the plan for Old Oak, which it says will improve the local economy and see thousands of homes built.

If plans do go ahead, the area would be redeveloped by 2043, with the station open in 2026.

              Alright for our Great Grandchildren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that video is ridiculous! reminds me of a USSR style video for a better future

all those shots of the abandoned/run down land come from ONE building, the area isn't really like that - it's just a bit desolate, there's no real soul/central part to it.

for me this looks like an excuse for developers to put shops into the area while taking a nice cut from the project. there may be shiny new trains but will the area really improve?

according to the press article a me*****dum (edit memor andom got filtered) of understanding has been drawn up, which I believe means QPR have first dibs at a stadium there.
an MOU is no small thing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Me*****..._understanding

in the regeneration documents the planners talk of it being desirable for, in our case a stadium, to be "the catalyst" and to "frontload the infrastructure"

suggests to me that IF a stadium is built, it will be QPR and it will be much sooner than 2026.......my guess if it happens 2020 completion
