  • Very good news.

Great to see that this season the players are getting on really well.

This is such a crucial ingredient because even with good players, you're nothing without team spirit and to see signings like Austin and O'neill being praised by current players it all bodes well.

Joey is currently at the oval with his good mate Charlie Austin. For a bloke i'd imagine he has only known for a month, he has been here at the club really does show that the players are all getting along. I am a big fan of adel ability wise but I accept that team bonding is no1 and it's great to see. Continues on from what W12Ranger said about getting the african players out of the side, you can't buy this kind of affection which will come out on the pitch!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Never want to go back to those dark days of the last couple of seasons watching the zombies move their limbs and pretend they were a team. It's great to see the camaraderie and how it lifts the crowd and vice versa. Hope it's here to stay.

Does all seem good so far. Team spirit is far more important than ability imo

          It really is uplifting.
Everyone going to a game now, paying their money, is likely to see a win rather than those before p**s it away!
Long may it continue and I hope the club bring new players into the club that will blend into this new mould rather than strut their ego.

Some on here will not accept that the French Africans were the root cause of problems at the club last season but their arrival and departure directly relates to decline and improvement in team spirit and moral. Also the return of Joey Barton appears to be galvising the squad.

Anyone know if Bobby Zamora got an invite....? I heard he said "I don't like football, so what makes you think I would want to spend my time some of the people who play in the same colour football top as me. I mean I can't even be bothered to jump for a header, so what makes you think I could be bothered to go to watch a cricket match!"

Agree but I think that's only because we have too many poster's interested in political correctness and equal rights bollarks. Posters like tw would have women playing on equal pay

                  This is a serious question.

What level mens league do you think the woman's England Team could compete at ?

                  Average Saturday standard ?

I also think that having Ale Faurlin around is great as he plays a his part in team spirit even when he is injured.

Showers are nowhere near as long either.

Must be saving a fortune on the water bill.

Wow! You do know that there is only 1 'French African' who has left the club and that is Taarabt. As bad as his attitude was there is absolutely no chance that he is solely to blame for the attitude of the whole squad.

In fact more English/British players have left the club than these evil, club destroying 'French Africans'.

The improved atmosphere is a combination of getting players with bad attitudes (of all nationalities) out of the club, bringing in players with the right attitude, and IMO bringing coaches like McClaren in. Also, dont forget English Joey Barton was one of the main people causing squad disharmony before he left.
