They're gonna knock it down and build a replica of downtown Mogadishu to keep the locals happy.

TF is the one spending money right?

I don't think our club itself is financially strong enough to build all those.

Problem with this is this development is about 6-7 years away? thought we were looking to get a new ground within the next 2-3 years, also 40.000 too big for a club like us about 32.000 would be enough, with the forsight too maybe increase the capacity at a later date, we were struggling to sell out all games last year in the Prem imagine what 15 to 16 thousand looks like in a 40.000 all seater? be like playing in a morgue.

You can compare our attendances for a premier league side losing every week, to a premiership side competing wk in wk out.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Begs the question do we want a stadium of fans that couldn't be bothered to turn up when we were losing but turn up for a flash new stadium?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

We don't Matty.......but the owners probably will.

And for the long term future of the club, we do as well.

Development will take at least a decade. If we are established back in the Prem by then, our fan base will be there or thereabouts. Just look at what money into the club + success on the pitch has done for Chelsea and Fulham.

Bind-moggling figures involved there, as the Rev Spooner might have said. A club of our size and revenue-generating ability could never afford to pay for this, so we'll presumably be tenants like Coventry were?

more seats available = less ticket price

This will be the big question.
The whole project is clearly huge but the ownership of the ground could still be with the mittals and Tony and his friends. The shrewd investment would be to buy the stadium because also it would be very easy to sell. The stadium it's self is very affordable for our owners.
