    Spot on.

The whole squad was pony at times and had big bad patches no differe3nt to Barton, just some fans only picked out him, which is ridiculous. Adel was woeful for the majority had tantrums when not going his way and came home early from Fulham ffs. And lets face it, had it not been for an unlikely home run of results at the end (which Barton was very much a part of having regained some form, Liverpool aside) we would've gone down that year by a number of points.

Yep. He's wanted out all summer, now there's loyalty for you!

I wanted him out, without a shadown of a doubt. Useless for us on the pitch and nothing but a pr1ck off it. Never known a player to treat the club he plays for with such contempt. Would Gallen, Ainsworth, Fedinand, Holloway and countless others ever dream of saying some of the things he's said? No. Becuase they actaully had respect for the club and the fans. 3 very good games in the Championship and suddenly everyones going mad for him? Short memories. He's doing what he's paid a small fortune each week to do. He should be head and shoulders above every other midfielder in the league. Lets not forget he did say he would walk into the Enlgand team only a few months ago?

Lets wait and see where he is and where we are at the end of the season before we start lording it up about him, not 3 games in.

I was concerned about his attitude but to give him credit he is getting on with it. As for his ability - never questioned it for this level. Possibly one of the best midfielders in the league.

Exactly. Doesn't stop people labelling certaing scape goats as "pub players" & saying how god awful they are, despite having proven themselves at the top level before becoming part of our rotten to the core club last year. The "pub player" insult makes me laugh when aimed at professional athletes, would love to see these people try & even run for 90 mins

I was one of the fans calling to get him off but never doubted his abilities. It's simply because he stated he didn't want to come back. I didn't want more players unterested in playing because we had enough from the wasters last season. However, I now want him to stay as he seems to have changed his mind and more than happy to give all his best.

Can anyone name a better player in this league than Barton? He's a total git, but he's our total git at this moment in time.

He wants to go to Marseille. Even Harry knows that. You cant blame him for that either given they are in the Champions League. I don't agree with some of his comments or methods but do you honestly expect him to say " No I love QPR and I want to play in the Championship " when a team like Marseille want to sign you? Get real fella. Long as when selected he gives his all that is the main issue.

It's not just 3 good games either. It's the gulf in class and ability he has shown in them. If we want to get promoted Barton will be key to that. You can tell that after 1 game not 3.

Just wondering if those same people still hold the same opinion now.... and you know who you are. Or whether you have reached the same conclusion a few of us reached yonks ago that despite being an idiot at times off the field, with him playing he is the best chance we have of getting promotion and he actually is a very good player for many reasons. Without him playing our chances of promotion decrease big time.

He is a very good player, brings the best out of others and is actually uniting the dressing room. Yes he has had a few good or very good games but you can tell from watching him he is a class above the Championship. Do some people still want rid of him despite the fact his loss would not be the best for QPR on the pitch??
To be fair Sammy.....Barton hardly endeared himself to QPRs loyal support by stating on numerous occasions that he didn't WANT to play for us.....even saying something along the lines that ... 'QPR would be playing in the championship next season but he wouldn't'

I don't care why he's playing well at the moment (shop window? the dawning that no other team wants to buy him? or that he has found his level playing in the championship)

But if he plays well whilst wearing our shirt.....I'm certain every QPR fan will be delighted.

Barton is a helmet. But he is a helmet that just happens to be a very good football player, especially in the division we are currently in. So, what with us missing out on Parker, I, personally, think it's essential we keep Barton if we want to go up this year. Already shown he is a cut above this league.
