  • Mbia set to leave QPR after being told to find a new club

Stéphane Mbia is set to become the latest high-profile departure from Queens Park Rangers as they adjust to life in the Championship after the Cameroonian midfielder was told he could leave Loftus Road before the closure of the transfer window next month.

Mbia, who moved to the west London club from Marseille a year ago on a two-year contract, has yet to feature in Harry Redknapp's side in the second tier this season and has been told to find a new club. The 27-year-old, who is not represented by an agent with his lawyer working on his behalf, has attracted tentative interest from Sevilla and Besiktas abroad but would prefer to remain in England, having featured 29 times in the Premier League last term as QPR were relegated: http://www.theguardian.com/football/...mbia-leave-qpr

Or maybe we could force him leave by mutual consent.

Didn't QPR pay around £5M for him? Are they really prepared to let him leave on a free now?
          They paid:
£4M Cisse (released on a free transfer)
          £3M Ferdinand (also freed)
          Mbia £5M free?
          Diakite £4M free?

People at QPR surely now a great way to waste money don't they?

Not overly fussed but would be quite happy to keep him. If we lose Barton (am assuming we won't see Diakite again) Mbia could provide cover and competition in midfield and we are short of cover at CB where he can also play. Obviously we aren't keeping him so hypothetical but don't think he is as bad as some make out and at this level could be very good.

Club have lost a lot of money on people that have been allowed to leave for nothing but bit like crying about spilt milk. Need to look at what we need now rather than the mistakes of the past otherwise you just end up exacerbating them.

He isn't that terrible I don't think, he's just not a Rangers player. Think if he was at somewhere like Villa, West Ham or Norwich etc he would of done an ok job and just been one of those players that gets on with it and doesn't get talked about.

                    Mbia hopefully off..

Lets hope we'll soon be rid of the fool. Only him, Seisure and Traore to go. It'd be easier to rid oneself of the clap without antibiotics..

I do rate Mbia but after his twittering I'm not so sure if I want to him to stay. Would be excellent at CB imo. At 27 he is entering his best years as a footballer.
