If we are offering Parker a place in the starting XI on big money the writing is on the wall. With Barton on a salary normally found only for a top 5 Premier League side he is a luxury at this level, as much as I've enjoyed his performances so far if someone took him off our hands we should look to the future and invest elsewhere in up and coming talent we can bed in.

Why? It makes no sense. Joey wants 3 million off the club to pay up his contract, so it's going to cost us anyway. It makes more sense to keep Joey this season and pay him his wage rather than pay him off, especially when he's performing well.

I don't know if anyone else noticed but just after the game when the players face the stands and acknowledge the fans support with a clap, joey at one stage waved towards the Ellerslie stand.

Might be nothing but I felt that it could have been a goodbye.

I really hope I'm wide off the mark as I feel joey Barton is Pivotal to our season and without him our hopes of promotion would be severely dented.

I watched Joey after the final whistle and the only reason was his behaviour was different to usual. Your right, he first walked around clapping the lower school and Ellerslie road and then started waving,he then came down towards the loft and was clapping again he then turned to start walking towards the tunnel but then turned back and started waving. When he got over near the tunnel he clapped the SA rd stand and then almost stopped and started waving. Very odd and it wouldn't surprise me if he is off. I will hold up my hands and admit I didn't want him at the club after his antics at City and his blasting of the club via twitter but his attitude and performances this season have been spot on so he would be a miss if he left.
