  • I am shocked by this

Dads mate owns 4 season tickets today he went to get 2 tickets for Newcastle apparently his Dad lives up there so he thought he'd visit him and take him to the match.

The Box Office refused to sell him 2 tickets because he didn't have enough loyalty points. You need 101 pts and purchase a ticket to the Chelsea game to to buy the tickets at the moment. Now bare in mind this fella also went to Exeter but never paid for it on his card and Accrington. He was told today he'll have to wait another week and half before he can buy a Newcastle ticket.

From what I hear this fella is ****ing livid at the moment and rightly so and I am totally shocked.

ITS NEWCASTLE AWAY ON A WEDNESDAY NIGHT FFS

Reading around the MB's alot of fans have already pre booked traavel and hotels, whilst I don't expect this to sell out if it does then some fans could be left out of pocket as well hyperthetically speaking

And how annoying would it be if you went to every game but could not go to newcastle cos everybody fancies a trip up there, The club are trying to make sure the fans that go to the Exeter away type games get first choice on the big games seems fair to me.

And i know you said yr mate went but he didnt get the ticket on his card so he don't get the points, It does explain about the points system in the season ticket pack.

          Thats just stupid imo.

I know their trying to award loyal fans and that, but at least let them go on general sale if they don't already sell out?

After I've booked my hotel and flight up there I better be able to get a ticket! Absolutely ridiculous its the biggest stadium in the league by a country mile and the game is on a wed night not to mention we have poor away attendances! These had better go on general sale... or failing that I don't suppose there is any Season Ticket holder on here who would get me some if I gave them the money!

Fez you have gone about it #### about face.
However I agree that the allocation does seemto be very low for such a huge stadium.
It is a very long way to go so I am unsure about the journey and for this reason I think these tickets will eventually go on general sale but infuture make sure you get a ticket before risking the rest of the expense.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I know but you get a much better deal on hotels and flights if you book it that bit earlier! The fact that it was a night game made me think it wouldn't be a problem either! TBH like you said I'd imagine they will go on general sale just not for a while I can't see us selling thousands to a midweek game up the other end of the country!

Your mate should question this again, you do not need to pay by card to get loyalty points. As long as you say the ticket is for a sason ticket holder and you give their details when you buy the ticket, then the points will be added. it makes no difference if you pay by card or cash. (also can buy both chelsea and newcastle tickets from thursday onwards if you have 71points, which he will have if he has renewed his season ticket)..

You only get 70 points for renewing yr season ticket you will need to have gone to an away game or cup or saints game to be over 71.

                      Surprise surprise

I am going to defend the club here.

The club has made it quite clear on what basis it will sell Newcastle tickets. I appreciate your mate went to Accrington and Exeter but if the loyalty points do not reflect that through no fault of the club then the person selling the tickets is only doing his/her job by refusing to sell the tickets at this time.

I too, am going to the Newcastle game but don't have 100 points so have to wait my turn. I could easily turn around and say I went to Exeter also but how can they confirm that if i haven't booked through the usual channels that allow loyalty points to be credited.

Not trying to be awkward on this, but just trying to put it into the perpective of the person serving you.

ade, stick to the facts. The person serving can see that there are insufficient points to complete the transaction.

There is a high likelihood that we will take our allocation for this game so it is only fair that people are treated in a consistent manner.

If QPR have neglected to put the points on then that is a different matter.

Do you think there is a liklihood of us filling our allocation? Can't see it myself but I;m starting to worry that I won't be able to get tickets!

                              What is our allocation?

If its around 3,000, we will sell it
