Bobby is an interesting debate. I was chuffed when we signed him but other then the first four months from we he signed (I thought he played his part in keeping us up) he has been a shadow of the player he was at Fulham.

I watched him closely yesterday and in fairness to him he does take some treatment from centre backs which the ref never blows for. For one goal kick he had a defender behind holding him down by his top and one infront with his arm wrapped and locked round his to stop him getting of the floor, now to me one of those actions is a foul both at the same time is 100% a foul but the ref let it go.

Bobby is never going to get 20+ goals a season but he seems to have lost what he was good at and what he based his game on. I think he needs to go back to basics and concentrate on what he has always done well i.e. planting his feet, holding off the defender, taking the ball down and giving it off before getting in the box (Austin has been doing it and hes great at it never realised he had that in his game). If we can get that from him then I think he is contributing but at the moment he is failing to do that and that has to be the absolute minimum if hes going to get in the team.

He wasn't that bad yesterday, just everyone focuses on every mistake he makes, and then groans and moans about it.

There was a div sitting next to me who started on him as soon as the game kicked off, this wound me up and so had a go at this tw@t and made a point of cheering every good thing he did, and he soon gave up.

Look we all know he's not fit but completely pointless going on and on about how sh1te he is as he is one of the 3 strikers we've got at the moment so gonna have to stick with him for time being.

As for booing him on match days if people are that stupid to do it in the first place, there's no point in even explaining to them why not to do it as they are too thick to understand.
Totally agree. Booing Zamora will not help the team. He's QPR player after all so we need to support him.

A fit Zamora would run this league ragged, but unfortunately injuries are part of the game and what we've ended up with is a shadow of the player Zamora once was. This is the gamble you take when you sign older players and I hope the board have learnt from this.

Still the fact remains that booing Bobby ain't helping anyone. Whether you choose to see it or not the guy is doing his best, his preformances are being seriously hampered by injury.
Exactly right Tarbie. And neither is it his fault if he's picked. And not only does booing players not help anyone one, it actually makes the situation worse for all concerned, but the numpties are too thick to realise this - so just drown them out with cheering and clapping I say.

I really don't want to not like Zamora, and I've previously defended him on numerous occasions, but he was nothing short of atrocious yesterday.

I don't see what he brings to the side at all these days? He can't run, can't shoot & can't even hold up the ball (which is what he was half decent at before!). He doesn't even bother jumping, he seems too busy trying to back into the defender to get a foul, and then when he doesn't get it he is too busy whining to the ref & doesn't even bother trying to win the ball back.

He could certainly learn a thing or 2 from Austin about how to win a header & bring a ball down from the sky and play some football.

Yea true - and shows how much we lack a striker. Need another in desperately.

Zammo's confidence is shot to pieces, looked edgy nervous and very concious of fans reactions. Is a decent player when confident

This Zamora injury debate baffles me .... Why is he playing if he isn't fit, why has he not had his injury sorted in preseason if that's the case ? To me it doesn't make sense that we are playing a raspberry ripple. As for running this league ragged if fit that's where we are gonna have to agree to disagree as I severely have my doubts

Unfortunately unfit & doubt he will ever be again, what with him being about 35 years old, so if he has an op & re-hab will be out for another 6 months at a guess. Tries his best, We don't have any proven players to replace him at the moment, as I can't see AJ going the season without missing a few games. Apparently he's back next weekend.

Apparently he needs a hip operation that would keep him out for a season. And with only a year left on his contract the decision in the summer was to make him play through the pain. Im suprised he lasted 70mins
