Probably to late now but he would of been the man that is proven and would of scored the goals to get us out of this league. Sometimes u can't but with Kevin Phillips it was a cert we just bottled it. He wanted 20k a week the same we are paying watson now.Yet again we missed the boat.

Well that will be the figure in jan if we decide to sign him in jan.
For me a striker that scores goals would b worth 20k a week and in kevin Phillips we missed the boat. It is about making decisions for me we have waisted money on useless unproven strikers and have tied to club into long contracts. Apart from Simpson and maybe Vine the striker situation is a mess.

I think he was a couple short of 25 but regardless...you are correct....He was rubbish for us (scored about a quarter of what he did for Colchester in roughly the same amount of games). If he was the 20+ striker we needed the year he hit 23 ish for Colchester....how many would have been happy with retaining him after 5 or 6 goals for us in a season?
