  • What's the plan?

Hard to see what the aspirations for this season are. Bounce straight back seems to be hope rather than a committed effort. I don't think we have the cojones to mount a serious challenge.

I think the transfer policy has gone from pay anything to anyone that can breathe to pay nothing to players on their third careers. Based on our track record over the last 4 years we will have difficulty attracting talent. Our owners are good guys without experience and Harry is consulting his 90's notebook.

Henry is the big question mark for me. How will his signing give us the quality we need to go straight back up and where are the strikers? If we don't sign 2 more, one fit and established and one promising star, we will be mid-table. We weren't convincing against Sheff. Wed and struggled to break down Huddersfield, two relegation candidates.

I'm disappointed at the club's reaction to relegation. It doesn't appear to hurt as much to the management and the team. I read an article today that focused on how the Premier League was about to take off in the USA as a serious competitor to their established sports. The EPL is where we need to be, now. If we f_uck around we'll be a footnote in Wikipedia.

your putting too much on NOW. no problem regrouping and a good push at top 6 with a good run/s in cups. now we have taken stock of the last mad RUSH of our attempt at the prem maybe its time to slow it down and start behaving like a normal club. the only reason we're above the footnote in wikipedia(like that s ithe is important) is because we tried to satisfy some by panic buying and creating something we wern't ready for.
lets just enjoy the rangers winning a few and creating the real deal!!!

There seems to be no plan at all.
So far we have loaned some of our best players.
We have bought some old burned out players, no able to get us up, and not possible to sell again.
For me what we are buying now is worse than last year.
Harry Redknapp seems to have completely lost it. Please stay away from the media. Hooper, Zapata, Parker, Defoe and probably more.
When he wants to buy someone he calls the press, everybody knows and they go somewhere else.
He is to much old school we need a younger manager in here.
HR and TF are to different characters to be a good team.
In my opinion nothing very good has happened since relegation.
I was hoping for us to go up again this season but a cant see it happen.
So we are going to be in this division until TF leaves and then drop further down

we resembled a stand up the last while and EVERYONE could see it. thh i don't give two fc uks how others view us but it would be nice to be a more discreet club. imo the prem falls behind the way we do things- so i'll take a season that will move us in the right direction no matter the final finish this season.even tho tf seems to have learnt i hope that fullfilling hr's ambitions are taken over a longer period and not just the now.

This is not intended to be provocative but would all those crying out for a young manager genuinely give him the time he needed to succeed? I suspect not.

What's with all the negativity?! We've played 3 games - won 2 and drawn one. Considering how bad things went last season I'm surprised we've made such a positive start to the season. A lot of players have gone and a lot of them have been replaced yet we've still made a decent start and we're only going to get better.
Harry knows exactly what he's doing - particularly in the transfer market. I think what Harry is doing by coming out and admitting that we're after all these high-profile players is a clever tactic because we're subsequently attracting players like Charlie Austin, Richard Dunne and Danny Simpson, who are all buying into the idea that the board are ambitious and mean serious business. I'm not saying that players like Defoe and Parker wouldn't tear the Championship apart because they would, but we don't necessarily need these kind of players to gain promotion. When we won the Championship in 2010/11 our team was a lot weaker! If Harry can get the team to click then we have the players who have the ability to win this league without a doubt.
All I'd like to see Harry do in this transfer window is replace Traore, who needs to be sold, get Andros Townsend back , sign another striker as cover for Austin, Johnson and Zamora, and sign a creative midfielder. If he can do that and keep Hoilett then I'd be shocked if we didn't finish in the top 2

So you're content to go through the season with just Hill Dunne and Onouha at CB this season? Bit risky.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Not sure I agree with that, Simpson & Austin are 2 very highly regarded, young English players who are destined for the Premiership whether it be with us or another side. We tried to sign Gary Hooper who in my eyes should be knocking on the door of the England squad.

Like you, I don't rate Karl Henry but other than that I don't think there is too much wrong with what we've done in the transfer window. I'm also pretty confident that there will be a few more decent additions to the squad before the window closes.

                      Spot on.
People seem to conveniently forget Simpson. And as you said I'm prett sure we will sign some more

I don't really like the QPR transfer policy tbh, the problem is now showing we never planned for the future as we never invested in any youngsters or up and coming players. Evey player over the last 2 years is coming to the end of his career and unfortunately it is very short sighted for the club.

What we should have done was got in was one old and one young for each position.

Its catch 22 though as all of us want to see decent established players at QPR but they of course cost money with either a large signing on fee and wages or transfer fee and wages and I honestly think we have been unlucky in that those we did sign have in the main been useless for the club

On the otherhand we all want players who are youmg English and in an ideal world come through the QPR Youth system but we as fans will then accuse the board of being not ambitious enough by signing better players

Its perfect amnunition though for those "fans" who would still moan if we won the league or got relegated as they can win an argument either way on our player signing policy

We always bought players that nobody else wanted (except Remy).

Even now we have been linked to Parker 32, Crouch 32, Baird 31 and Defoe 30. When you look at the first team it has to close to the oldest not just in the Championship but the whole football league.
