Anyone remember the lad Henrique from Brazil, he was refused a work permit and wasn't allowed to join us under the special talent category because he hadn't played a full international cap and he hadn't played in Europe. Duvan Zapata hasn't played for his country or a team in Europe yet....

The Brazilian lad wasn't even 1st choice at his club side and had only a handful of starts when we tried to get a work permit. As we know Zapata has been staring and scoring for his club so its slightly different from that point it must have been difficult last time to prove the lad was a special talent.

Doubt it. He'd still have to play 75% of their first team matches in order to complete part of his work permit requirements. Doubt he'd get that much football in the Premiership hence why Wet Spam pulled out. Unless someone like Hull or Palace come in for him. If we are applying for a Work Permit for him I doubt we'd leave ourselves in a position where by we could lose out at the final hurdle. I'd say the deal is done subject to the Work Permit being granted.#standuptocancer
