We had a run of four or five games where we accumulated a lot of yellow cards and the team was labelled dirty. I was certainly labelled a dirty player and unfairly I think.
If there is a ball there to be won I will go and try to win it. I’m a ball-winning midfielder and I like the defensive part of the game. I like the chasing back and tackling people and defending, which maybe lots of other midfielders are not so keen on. It’s the part of game I’ve always enjoyed and I relish. If that makes me an enforcer then that’s what I am.
My impression has been good. When I came in I was half expecting to see some players not quite at it or at a low tempo in training but that’s not the case. There’s very much a feeling here that people want to get straight back up at the first attempt. There is no messing around, training is hard and tough and the players demand a lot out of each other.
I know Clint Hill from my time at Stoke and he’s a real good pro, a good captain and a good leader. They’re a good bunch of players that work hard and there’s no divisions or anything. It’s an enjoyable place to be.”

I have seen enough of Henry not to rate the bloke very much.
All this give him time nonsense is not for me, I think Parker will be a massive signing for us because I only want henry to take part in a handful of games.
Not being cocky or overconfident but the facts of the matter are, if Henry starts every game it lowers our chances of promotion greatly.I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

You need the likes of Henry in the team for it to function somewhere close to effectively in this league.
He may not be exactly blessed with finesse - but if we are getting lumps kicked out of us by some of the more, erm, "robust" midfields out there - then he is the guy you need to have on to soak up the kicks, dish them back out, and allow the more creative players to get on with their game....... Just like Shaun Derry did in our promotion year......
He was never signed up to be a "glory" player - and I don't think he will start every time for the reasons stated above.

He has always said, he like to tackle close players down win the ball.
He will not, score goals, do late runsin the box, pass the ball 30 yards, but what he will do is allow Faurlin / Barton and other drive forward as he will give them defensive cover.
He is going to be anotherone I feel that will divide people opinons like Mackie did, some will see and respect what he does and offers while others will want a more complete MF who can pass and score as well.
To early for me to form an opinon of my own with regards to should he be in the team as I need to see what the team needs most, as it has only been two games and apart from I though his tackling has been good, but his passing poor. One for all.... and all for one

My problem with Henry is I don't see how he is any better defensively than Derry, whilst I think Derry actually has better distribution. I see Derry play 30 yard passes upfield occasionally that I didnt know he could make whereas Henry just seems to tap it to the nearest teammate.
That said it is definately too early to be getting on his back

The only differance i can see is that he is younger, a little quicker and will last playing two games in a week. With regards to skill I agree, in fact i would say Derry is a better passer of the ball. One for all.... and all for one

He's actually a solid defensive midfielder. By his doing his job it means others in front of him can play attacking football. Don't think QPR fans understand him yetUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
