  • Spurs resurrect Tom Ince transfer as QPR aim to buy Townsend (Mirror)

Ince is in line to replace Andros Townsend, with the young wideman wanted full-time by Harry Redknapp at Queens Park Rangers.

Townsend, who impressed for the relegation-bound Rs last season after Redknapp signed him on loan, would be part of a £5million double deal also taking Scott Parker from White Hart Lane to Loftus Road.

"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

Why would Spurs want to replace Townsend with Ince? Townsend is a better player

If you went by progress then Ince is a regular for the england u21's that won 6-1 last night. Townsend is good but Ince is a bigger name and not just because of his dad, the lad can play.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Reckon Townsend is pushing for a move as knows he will play most games with us and little with Spurs

Even a season long loan will do

Myu have you made up with your old mate Peter Davies?

I think it would be a nice touch if you asked him back on this forum.

Ok he isn't banned but he probably feels unloved and it would be good to have him back, a few of us old school posters enjoyed those days on this board.

Townsend has said himself no more loans he wants a permanent move this time.

Disagree with that, Townsend is more limited than some think. He shone last year for his energy amongst the general lethargy of the rest of the squad last season.

I'm happy with £5m for him and Parker though, as ridiculous an amount of money as that is for a championship club to spend.

It would be interesting if Ince is swayed by any possible move to London as didn't he turn Cardiff down not so long ago because he wished to remain in the north for family reasons.

I know you might think London or Cardiff is a no brainer but what about his ethics, oh hold on a minute, he is a footballer!

Can't see us buying both Parker and Townsend. Maybe one of them.
                          QPR fan since1987

Presuppose there's an element of truth that Spurs want 5m for both and hughes wants Hoilet we would need to lay out very little to get both a farking good deal , but yeah before anybody posts it dream on
