Clarke didnt come back better. without the injury he would be playing for a big 6 team and in the england squad.

Pete earlier this year you said that vine and buzsaky coming back would be like 2 new signings have you changed you opinion

          You cant prove that though.

He was in league 1 when the injury happened, and hes now in the Prem for the second time, they are the facts and thats an improvement.

He was playing in the old first division (2nd league) same as we are in now not in league 1. he got injured against Fulham, Fulham had agreed a transfer fee with QPR for him. He lost pace and mobility which he has never recovered but his experience and positional sense makes up for it, add the lost pace and mobility and he would be a better player than he is now.

I agree, QPR were in the eqyivalent divison as now when he got injured.

He is now playing in the Prem, but before his injury he was included the Rngland U21 sqaud and rated as a future full international.

Who knows how far he would have gone had he not got injured and later joined Fulham in the Prem League that did quite well under Tigana.

$hittu came back as good as before, but I can't think of anyone else. Langley didn't and Gallen was nowhere near the same calibre as he was in the Prem League.

I am not convinced that Buzsaky or Vine will ever return to their old form, but am hoping that they can get reasonably close to it.

buz was a bit of a trundler pace wise even before the injury so hopefully it won't damage his basic game, tho I do think its his lack of speed that has probably stopped him developing into a premiership player. Vine was more about quick movement and turning, so is more of a worry. and if you are a striker who doesn't score many goals you have to make sure the rest of your game is absolutely top drawer, otherwise what are you bringing to the team?

Shearer came back and was still great, but he lost a lot of his pace, so developed other areas of his game to compensate.

Not sure that Buzsaky or Vine can do the same
