  • Your Definition of "Emergency Loan"

Tomorrow, sees the opening of the "emergency loan" period. Surely, this should be emergency, but all clubs bend the rules. If you have a keeper who breaks his hand, then sure get a keeper in, but if you have 4 strikers, how can it be an emergency loan?

All clubs do this, how can they really get away it?

The way our strikers have been performing, believe me, this is an emergency...

We signed both Buzsaky and Vine during this period neither were emergency loans but both were short term loans (less than 93 days). You are allowed to sign 4 short term and 4 season long loans a season.

Pete, Sir Pie: my fear for the coming months is it is going to be v hard to build a settled strike force. Simpson's loan is due to expire at the end of the year and then the implication of what Sir Pie says is that another loaned striker will also need to be v temporary in order to get it past the authorities - so this cd leave us back to square one in Jan. Even if, best case scenario, we are able to sign Hooper then he would be our only proper striker.

According to the offy he is.

I understand your point though, what with our boards pre-emptive strikes in the transfer markets,we should be faced with this same scenario, come next summer.
