Even had some electricity & cars in certain areas.

Now that is a Factomondo, As anyone who came in by train yesterday will testify the town sq was jumping with some sort of beer / food festival , it is one straight road from the station to the ground ( with a cheery Disney style sign telling you, you were nearly there ! ) nice modern stadium ........... couldn't have asked for much more except the 3 points.

Might not have been the same experience if it was a midweek game in January.

For us that would mean around 29k."

Ha yeah but when you were referring to northerners you weren't referring to immigrants up north

So what would you prefer a bunch stereotypical northern folk from Yorkshire to live next door to or a load of immigrants in some London shithole ?????

I've lived next door to immigrants pretty much all my life bar the last 5 years, so it's nothing other than the norm for me. Didn't really like it, but didnt know any other way.

The thought of living next to northerners would be too much. Just the accents f*** me off. At least an immigrant talks and you can't understand him, unlike a Yorkshireman with his eh up lad, and e by gum nonsense.

It's ****ing me off just thinking about it.

My idea of sheer hell, yet somehow they seem to take pride in their pathetic little towns and thier boring life's.

I'd rather lick a cows ar5e than have to live anywhere north of Barnet. The north of England is well and truely the ar5e hole of the UK

I live in a posh area of Surrey so it's a massive come down for me. I know Shepherds Bush isn't great but you are only around the corner to Chiswick ie civilisation where as in Huddersfield you have Bradford and leeds calling. I also accept why they hate us as jealousy is natural. Very few skilled jobs and very low pay. Yes you can have a 5 bedroom house but your view will be of a bordered up warehouse
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm As someone who has moved to the ar5e hole of the UK I do find your blinkered view of life slightly disappointing, BUT hey don't let a bit of stereotyping get in the way of the truth !

I've lived next to all sorts during my life and it ain't where they come from but what they are like that is the most important thing .............

No use living next to a nice middle class Solicitor if their teenage kids are a flecking nightmare !

                        What just because you disagree?

I do t have a problem with migrants. Why would I? The English migrate all over the world so don't have any problems with economic migration. I don't like illegals or asylum seekers, but that's a different arguement that's relevant to the whole of the uk and not just 1 location.

You're trying to swerve the direct question by creating a counter argument

Slating northerners for not liking their accents makes you sound like a *****. Maybe it's because I've studied and worked with folk from all over the UK that its the norm to come across fellow Brits. Still with an estimated half a million illegal s living in London it's easy to forget where the real shithole is and what areas are just a bit rough.

After leaving the motorway yesterday, nearly everywhere on the way to Huddersfield, looked lovely.

Not the greatest of towns to be fair, so after going to Meadowhall with the Mrs afterwards, took her for a spin around Hillsborough. Anyone who has been there would testify that it makes Huddersfield look like something worthy of a picture postcard. Unbelievably depressing place.
