£6m for Defoe??? Bargain of the decade. Do it!!

Doesn't sound like a Daniel Levy price though
Meet me by the railway tracks

Wouldn't think that Defoe would lower himself to come to the championship, he's got far too high an opinion of himself to do that yet; besides, the personal terms needed to persuade him to accept would be absolutely crippling and would put us back to square one in creating a unified squad at the club

Why would Defoe drop down a league in a World Cup year? Would l love him to join but something does not seem right!

Would rather we spent 6 million on Matt Phillips , or a defender.

My only thought is Defoe coming off Spurs bench next season perhaps getting 10 goals will not be as sharp as a Defoe who has played 30 games and scored 20-25 goals but will a sharper Defoe in lower league be acceptable for Hodgson

Don't need to sell it to me.... Who was the last second tier striker to be selected for a World Cup ? Steve Bull ?

You do realise that he joined Seattle because he will be getting £5.2m a year there. If he wasn't offered that much then he probably would still be at Tottenham

I don't think Stoke would've had a chance though. They certainly wouldn't pay £5.2m a year for him

Getting Defoe in for £6million would be the best piece of business done by the club for yonks.

We've seen enough players that have played at the top then failed miserably when they arrive at LR.

Hardly a voyage into the unknown here.
Harry knows Jermaine, and Jermaine knows Harry, and seems to me there is enough respect between the two for Jermaine not to mess Harry around.
Jermaine Defoe is one of England's, if not the best overall, striker.
If there's even only a remote chance we could get him in, then we should try our damndest.

So what do we reckon? £12-14m for Defoe Parker and Townsend?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

guys this isn't championship manager where you can play as man city and QPR. Buy Hogan Ephraim for 25m and then resign and play with QPR with a nice pot. The figures being banded about aren't that of a championship side. Tony has thrown money around like this and it hasn't worked. We might need to be patient but investing in youth is the way forward. My own personal opinion is I only want Townsend from that list and possibly Parker
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I think if we were to get Defoe it would be on a lone so they can get him off the pay roll for a season similar to what we have done with Park. I don't know why he has fallen out of favour at Spurs as hes a top striker
