  • Defoe will cost QPR £6m

Queens Park Rangers have been told it will cost them £6million to land England striker Jermain Defoe from Tottenham.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp has worked with Defoe at Spurs and Portsmouth and would love him at Loftus Road to help the club's push for promotion.
But club owner Tony Fernandes would prefer a loan move – something that Spurs will not consider.

No thanks, 6m for an injury prone striker

For that kind of money you will have every EPL side in for him.

Agree not worth that kind of money. Too many injuries and in his 30's. I know we want promotion but we can't keep spending silly money on all harrys old players maybe our handsomely paid scouts can help Harry out if he is stuck
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Typical Levy, don't know why we bother with Spurs. Always ends this way

          No thanks
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

You're not going to get any championship sides after him but us. We're the only mugs out there who pay well over the odds.

All the players we purchased, how many did we sell and get a fee for?

We should have got Dempsey before he went to Seattle. How much was he sold for?

If Spurs want to sell him and if Hodgson can guarantee Championship football won't harm his England chances then we would be mad not to sign him. He'll score goals now and if we went up he'll score in the Prem.

To me, he is a must buy for this price.

6m is cheap compared to the going rate for a top goal scorer which he is. No chance he will come to the championship though. Spurs are mad for getting rid of him imo.

If we can sell 2 to 3 players and use that money to bring in Defoe, I think it would be great.

I don't think he'll want to drop down to the Championship to be honest.

Exactly.. I too don't understand why they want to get rid of him?

Defoe is only 30. Drogba played at the highest level until 34 and he's also had injuries. He's now 35 and still playing CL football.
