left Spot on, very weak down that left side, I cringed every time the ball went over that way and if Wednesday were switched on they would have been down that flank all day long

I don't understand why so many people think Traore would be a good left midfielder sure he can cross a ball but you'd just be moving the problem up the pitch. Truth is he's a lazy unreliable defender and he'd be a lazy unreliable midfielder were much better of getting shot of him Asap.

That's a typical performance from him. Winger? Don't make me laugh. We've scored two goals from two of his crosses in two years. Some of us like the clean slate we've got. We'd like it to be cleaner by getting rid of the likes of Traore. You keep cheering on the liability while he picks your pocket. Some of us have had enough of him.

From a football perspective if a young player on £5k who had come through the ranks was delivering to the level AT does then maybe there is something to build on there.

But in the championship any big bucks players need to be game changers - I dont think he is that, not at LB or LW - and if there is a chance to spend that elsewhere makes sense.

I'd second that, Naughton would be the perfect addition to our squad. Equally comfortable on either side, ideal first choice left back and could be shifted to right back if Simpson got injured. Spurs loaned him out for the whole of the last 2 seasons so I'd guess he's available but would he drop down a league?

So what you're saying is we have inadequate cover at RB? If you move Naughton to RB, who will play at LB instead? Yun has no English league experience yet and should be introduced gradually.

By moving someone like Naughton all you do is move the problem elsewhere in defence which unsettles the back line. We need to make sure we have two proper LBs and two proper RBs, as well as at least four CBs, preferably five given the age/injury records of Hill and Dunne.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Ok, so with Naughton able to play both right and left back, we'd have Simpson as first choice right back, Yun as back up for left back as well as Hill who can do a job there if called upon. Then as further cover at right back we have Harriman who can be recalled from loan if required as well as Onuha and Henry who have both played there extensively in the past!

All hypothetical of course because nobody has said that we are in for Naughton, a few of us on here were just suggesting he could be a good signing that's all. I will add that I'm not disagreeing with you totally by the way, we definitely need more defenders in the squad. Chris Baird is training with us and he can play across the back four, I also expect Harry to be in for another decent centre half!
