If Levy is quoting those prices for them two imagine what he will want for Defoe and Parker

Levy comes across as a good business man in transfers , when really he hasn't got a clue. His asking prices for some players are ridiculous then people don't buy them , meaning he is left with paying the wages for a player who will never feature .

He isn't going to say his lowest price. That is where the negotiations start.

I think if we offered 3 rising to 5 with addons we would get him

This is how Daniel Levy does business and he's very good at it. In reality Andros Townsend is worth about half that, maybe 5m at an absolute push. But then again Gareth Bale ain't worth 85m but he's probably gonna get that for him from Madrid!

Realistically, he is worth 2mil at best. He has done nothing in his career apart from 12 games with us. Double the fee to £4mil cos he's English, and that would be the limit tbh

No he believes he is good and makes people think he is good , when in reality he normal prices to high so they don't sell.

Exactly, they hold on to players as long as they can and when they do sell they generally get the right price, look at the Luka Modric deal, look at what's been going on with Bale for the last 2 years!

I reckon less. Both are 30+, Parker has 1 year left on his contract and defoe has 2.

We are after him but not for that sort of figure.

Amazing! Now just get townsend and Defoe in and we have a team that would have got mid table PL
