I agree with Hoop, for shizzle. It would be great to see Defoe in a Rangers shirt, but highly unlikely, think Charlie Austin-type signings are the way to go.

Depends: if money was/is no object and where its coming from. They are class acts, would get a starting place in most Prem sides outside the top four. That's a sign how serious the club are about getting the right players who can do the business. Defoe vs Rhodes is no contest. Both are above this level and way above what we have - so to answer the question so they'd stroll into the side and produce the goods. Different class. However, they have to want to come. Are they essential to us putting together a side to go up? No.

No! Parker is 32 and Defoe is 30...wtf do we have scouts for? Parker might be ok on a 2 year deal max...very shortsighted..Is Harry too lazy to work with players he doesn't already know?
