The word 'gel' was used about a million times last season, but I honestly think this team will gel eventually, it was a decent performance again Wednesday with almost an entirely new team from last season, they all seem to understand each other and play well together. It can only get better imo. Doubted Harry before to be honest, but he's building a solid and winning team.

Hoillet on Saturday, looked liked the player he was before we signed him.
Barton seems to be enjoying it back (will forgive him if he plays every game like he did Saturday)
They seem happy, and up for it

All we really need in my book is another striker and that's only because our current three are all a bit shaky on the injury front. The squad we have has enough for a good crack at promotion.
What about RB, who's your cover for Simpson? Young seems to have disappeared, and don't say Onouha. That will weaken our CB group even further.
How about LB? Traore, a good little player, often has injuries, and Yun is unproven in English football.
I agree we need a striker or two, but we need a lot more work done with the defence before we can mount a serious challenge.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I know what Rebel means, having watched 3 games we don't really look a solid side (yet). But we can only judge it after 10 games and whom comes in before the window shuts as it is a work in progress side.
Have to say, I'm a little disappointed with QPRs transfer policy and I still think we should had invested long term in some younger players rather than the short term senior players. As it stands we may have problems when we come against younger sides as we will definately be out played.
Time will tell.

TBH with the squad we have we should riss all over everyone else in this division.
In my view we are looking at turning a great Championship squad into the ideal one. Yes it would be nice to have another CB and a winger but it is almost wish listing, particularly if Zapata does complete his signing. We have a very good keeper, a decent defence (yes bit sparse on cover), potentially fantastic midfield and some great striking options. If 'Arry doesn't take us up comfortably he will have totally failed. Has had great support from board.
Whilst are a few I'd still like rid of I'm mainly wishing away transfer window in case someone comes in for likes of Hoillett or Faurlin. That concern aside I can see some great games coming up and all the better once the side have properly gelled.
After the debacle of last season now is a good time to be an Rs fan.
