I'll go with the world cup over Olympic bronze thanks
England
2002: 6th
2006: 7th
2010: 13th
2014: Not yet qualified
South Korea
2002: 4th
2006: 17th
2010: 15th
2014: Qualified
S. Korea did slightly better in 2002, England did better in 2006, England did slightly better in 2010. S. Korea did better in the London Olympics, which may not be the full picture, but it is not something one can ignore when placed in this context.
Of course, England is where football began, and thus England has done better than S. Korea at the world cup historically, despite it being much more challenging to qualify. In recent years, the difference between the two national teams is not as clear as Facto would like.
Most Asian football leagues are 3rd rate compared to the EPL, but the comparison no longer stands true for Asian and English footballers.

I thought when he signed he would be steady not set the world alight but be a calm head but he actually contributed nothing to the side one of the biggest letdowns of all the signings
i expected a calm influential hardworking player capable of scoring a few goals. didnt work out that way though.

Still has nothing to do with the fact that Park ran around like a headless chicken.
Looked like he had maybe swapped places with his non footballing brother, and picked up a huge wage for probably being the worst signing last season.
And don't even remind me of the fact he was Captain!!!

If you read the thread a little more closely, you would see that I was not discussing Park.

Joon, He was Woeful though!!
We all thought he was gonna be a reliable, solid player to have in the squad.
But, it was better when he wasn't named!!
How he turned so sh*t in 1 summer defies belief.

Well, I've already said this numerous times, but last season was the worst of Park's career, and I agree that it was pretty woeful. Let's leave it at that because I don't want this thread to turn into yet another discussion about Park.
I was actually posting in response to Northolt's comment, which was also a response to MYU's response to Facto's post. MYU countered Facto's post by pointing out that the South Korean national football team defeated Team GB and went on to win the bronze in last year's London Olympics. Northolt remarked that he would rather rely on World Cup results than Olympics, so I posted the recent World Cup results to put it into context.
