  • This guy could do a job at LB.

Former Brazil left-back Roberto Carlos is available on a free transfer from Turkish club Fenerbahce and would consider a move to Notts County. (Daily Mirror)

He would play as a winger though, no matter what he was told i expect. Would be amusing though to see him in the Hoops, and sure he would still shine in this div.

Yes, he could still do well at this level, but he would expect a £50,000+ weekly pay packet.

This is something Notts County seem willing to do, but there is no way QPR will pay him that kind of money.

They wouldn't be able to pay him that as there is a salary cap in league one and league two but what Notts County can do is offer a massive signing on fee.

Instead of 50k pw which is £2.5m per annum they can offer £10k pw plus a £2m signing on fee.

What Notts Co. are doing is nothing short of ridiculous if the owers pull out the club would be ruined!! thank god QPR are not doing it that way...

Totally agree!.....Notts County are doing what Chelsea did......What we're doing is perhaps morally commendable but Chelsea are playing Champions League and we aint.

                      yes, I agree.

It may not really be ethical or even make financial sense, but it does often bring a level of success.

You can see the difference it is making at Man City too. They will be challenging for honours in the near future.

The rate QPR are going, we will still be watching CCC football in 5 years time.

I don't think QPR should go crazy, or even need to, but a £7M spending spree in June could have seen QPR sign Evans or Earnshaw, Fox, Faurlin and Hooper, whilst selling Delaney, Camp, Blackstock and Mahon.

The latter 3 could have been used as part of the deals for Earnshaw, if chosen ahead of Evans, and Hooper.

I personally don't rate sven but it just goes to show how he can attract big name players to a small club with big backing. Maybe we should take note, although I am willing to forgive Jim for dropping Connelly as long as it doesn't happen again and he actually learns from his mistakes and there have been a few!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I''ll forgive Magilton when he re-instates both Connolly and Gorkss to the defence and selects Buzsaky from the start (prefarbaly in a central role), so that he at least gets a chance to show us if he has recovered or not from his knee injury.
