I do feel sorry for the bloke, wanted to leave Real Madrid to get first team action and make the right career move, and had a lot of clubs to choose from, probably from teams in the Champions League, but came to us as he was told about this big project...it failed, he didn't do too well, and know he's in the Championship. He's a talented player and should be playing CL football imo-he's still loved at Madrid by their fans and even Mourinho wanted to keep him, hope he gets his move.
Tremendously overrated player in my opinion and contrary to what you said not actually that well regarded by most at Madrid, Mourinho rarely picked him and for portions of last season played a left back in central midfield ahead of Granero. Over the years he managed to accumulate a good number of appearances for Madrid by working hard and being a good squad player, in reality he offers absolutely nothing. Too lightweight, doesn't impose himself on the game anywhere near enough and goes missing for huge parts of every game. People get fooled by a few tidy touches here and there but actually he achieves very little of any real substance. Not a goal scorer, doesn't weigh in with too many assists, definitely not a defensive midfielder, half decent set pieces (and I'm being generous there).........just remind me again what this bloke would be doing in the Champions League?.........Running the line?!!!
My money is on Granero being a flop wherever he goes next and a downward spiral of a career from there!Last edited by Tarbie; 06-08-2013, 03:06 AM.

Lets look at the clues.....
Redknapp said a player in his office last week wants to play in the Champions League.
He said QPR had ruined his life.
HR said player is on £60k a week so life is hardly 'ruined'.
So Ric says it's one of 8 listed -
Adel & Remy - Can't be either as last time I looked neither Fulham or Newcastle are in the Champions League.
I doubt it's Traore as he played on Saturday.
That leaves
Park (did PSV qualify ?)
Cesar (did Fiorentina qualify ?)
Granero (interest from Russia ?)
M'bia (back to Marseille ?)
My guess is Barton (Marseille)
RIC, is this the 2nd part of your Adel post last week ? That might upset a few.....

Interesting…
Didn’t realise there were so many Sky-ophiles on here…
Surely anything that breaks Sky's football monopoly is a good thing?
I have BT Broadband – then all of a sudden BT buy the rights to Premier League football and I now have Live footy for free (not £30 odd quid a month)
Never liked Sky – went to a mates house recently and he had a Sky subscription but with only the basic channels.
Me: "You do realise that 90% of those channels are on freeview right?"
Him: "Yeah but I can Sky+ programmes with Sky"
Me: "Yeah you can record on Freeview too, for free"
Him "Yeah but I can pause live TV"
Me: "As per freeview, for free"
Him "It's just easier this way"
Me: "What, easier to pay a monthly subscription than plugging that co-ax cable into your TV"
Muppet!
Sky are like Apple they get people sooo entrenched into their eco-systems that they aint ever coming out! Even if it means paying through the nose!
Anyway – BT needs to be a success to rein Sky in – hope they get some Championship games soon"Ever since you were born I always knew you were a bender!"
