With you mate I was over the moon with the performance after the last two seasons and especially going one down with the expectation this season it would have been very easy to go into a shell

We spend the last two seasons loosing and the fans moan we win a game that we actually in my view dominated and looked comfortable in and fans moan. No happy medium at QPR its always glass half full

      Very well phrased and said.

Noticed people keep saying Henry struggled yesterday but at times Faurlin's passing was poor and he nearly cost us a goal with a poor pass back to Hill but no ones mentioned that. Henry got caught once holding onto the ball for too long and they broke and nearly scored, other than that he wasn't as bad as people are bitching at on here. Zamora was turd but I expect nothing else from him and Traore wasn't at his best but he ain't played in the last few pre season games so ill put that down to him missing some sharpness. Got caught twice and got away with it but going forwards he did well. Other than Zamora it was a good day at they office. Winning 1-0 is the same as winning 5-0. You get 3 points for each but some of the posts on here are pathetic!

That was one incident in 90mins Yousef. You said he struggled like he had a mare for the full 90mins which he never

The incident you refer was right in front of me on the touchline and he was fouled three or four times as there players were pulling him all over the place. He done them twice with skill while they pulled him; he like I expected the whistle to go as he had been fouled but it never and they nicked it off him.

As for us winning by 6,7 or 8 , Weds should have won 3-2 and that's without the two penalty decisions that went against them. So yes we do need replacement/more options. CA wont get us promoted on his own and with BZ and AJ as the only alternatives, so we do need more. Defensively we were poor, and as someone else has posted on another thread , teams with better strikers would have converted all the chances we gave them.
Do you not find it a little strange that you're the only one with this opinion in mind? Please also remind me of all of Sheffield Wednesdays chances that I missed other than the chance the fella put over the bar and the one that hit the post?

I thought we played all the football but allowed them to break the game up to often Dave Jones isn't stupid he knew if he played an open game against us we'd rip them apart. Think we might get this alot and may struggle against the more direct teams in the league away from home.

How many penalty decisions did we have last season that were turned down, we could of stayed up if we were given them all. The fact is we won 2-1 and have 3 points on board. We only need 77 more, yet your still moaning. Seriously what game was you watching? We're you actually at the game and where did you sit?
I'm not moaning at all, just stating my opinion on what I feel we need to add to our team, I have not once moaned about a player just stated things as I see them. If we get Phillips, Parker and Townsend, add in Faurlin, Hoillett and Barton, the likes of Henry wont even make the bench.

Whether or not I go to games, watch them on a stream or just see some highlights, I still have my opinion and if you care to read all the threads on yesterday's game you will see that I am not alone in my assessment of some players. We are getting there as a squad but still have a long way to go.

FYI my first game was v Leicester City in 1974 (Frank McLintock's debut I think) and have stood/sat in every stand in LR over the years (even the old school end whilst the Loft was rebuilt) and currently have a ST in R Block. So yes I was there and say it as I see it. Sorry if that get your goat!!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

We need a ball carrying, creative CM. Someone who can carry the ball into space and create options rather than look for the short backwards or sideways pass.
I Beg to differ. They were both playing much better during the last 45 minutes, especially Faurlin.
Regarding Karl Henry, remember it was his first league match for the club. Given he has played for a not that impressive Wolves team aswell, you have to be patient with him and give him more gametime.
                  Just my opinion.

Dazzer henry won't make mistakes passing back to the defenders and keeper all the time but we need someone to be more dynamic in the centre of midfield. Henry is far to basic on this showing, I am just hoping it is nerves. I was hoping he'd be big and strong an make forward runs, how wrong was I.

Oh and I too think I was at the wrong game Dazzer.

What's happened to this Hooper bloke, I hardly recognised him seems to have lost a full head of hair?!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

That's why I think people are judging his overly harshly because they want him to be or were expecting something which he is not. He's a dog of war, a spoiler and he puts his foot and body in where others would not. When Faurlin got nailed centre circle who was the one that flew in to a tackle (possibly recklessly) to let Wednesday know im not having that and were not going to be bullied but Henry!!!!

He is not a player that is going to take on three or four and pop it into the top corner but he is a reliable head who hopefully will do the shi tty part of the game (which no one wanted to do last season) which allows the likes of Hoillet to wander and go on runs as you know there is someone behind sitting ready to mop up

well I felt at times he was too deep and you couldn't say in that 2nd half we dominated them. Faurlin had a good last 20mins but I think we need more from our centre midfielders. I found henry ponderous and never looked for a forward pass which really slowed our play down. Barton did enough, pinged it 60 yards to traore and pinged in 40 for zamora to score to merit a place in centre midfield. I am delighted we won 2-1 but nothing wrong with improving areas and our centre midfield pairing could be better. I agree with matty that troare would be a great left winger and move holliet onto the right. He jumps into challenges so is clearly not a reliable left back.

Suppose to me we were not over run and more then held our own in the middle if not had the better of the exchanges. I noticed Henry came short for the ball a lot which for me I would prefer Faurlin to do as he is more of the ball player. Between the middle three I thought we kept the ball moving and we did go backwards on occasions but that was when there was no other option and we retained the ball. I wish we had recycled the ball like that last season instead of giving it back so cheaply

I was impressed with Barton and he has a decent range of passing although there was one at the loft end he over hit when we had the overlap

Out of interest do you sit behind the goal or on the side as I find sometimes this influences how people view the game???

agree lost every header and it was painful to watch.

I am shocked why he didn't go under the knife because there must be a serious problem. Ok he's not great but at least he moved when we signed him.
