Henry and Simpson were making their debuts and already you want them replaced. Zamora was two bob, but AJ had a good game after a long lay off. A bit of patience needed methinks.

Henry wasn't that bad imo, played everything simple and tidy. Although there was that one time where he kept the ball nicely, but kept it a bit too long and eventually lost it. We do need another creative centre mid, I reckon we should go for Kranjcar as he would be a realistic target and would fit the bill. Harry's gone with a 4-3-3 and I'd have Barton, Faurlin and Kranjcar in the middle if he signed. Would rather Diakite though, but Harry obviously don't rate him so that ain't gonna happen any time soon.

Agree I thought Henry had a decent enough game. He done what he was put in the side to do get in the way and disrupt. Not sure what people were expecting from Henry.

He's not an easy on the eye player he's a spoiler and done that job well enough in my eyes

Went over Friday night and came back last night,my first game in a year and a half.Im actually surprised at how up beat most are after that performance.Wd are title favourites but you certainly wouldn't think it after that.Wednesday are fancied to struggle this year but they made us look very average yesterday,they had a clear penalty turned away and matched us,especially in the 2nd half.I didn't think much of Henry,Zamora looks unfit and Green is suspect.On a plus,it was 3 points,and a win was very important,Hoilet,Barton impressed,and Austin must start ahead of Zamora.Baird and O'Neill when they arrive will only add numbers,as in quantity over quality,we hopefully will get a striker and a winger.Good Atmosphere in and around the ground,pitch looks fab.A win is a win but not enough from that display to convince me that we are anything except play chasing contenders

Personally I'm just pleased to get off to a winning start, after just 4 wins in the league last season getting 3 points out of the first game, regardless of the opposition isn't straightforward. We will improve as the side starts to gel and I'm certain Harry will have another couple of signings up his sleeve.

I must of been at a completely different game to you then. Zamora was the only one who was pony out there. We win 2-1 which quite easily could of been 5, 6, 7 or 8 if it weren't for Kirkland and yet our supporters turn on our own players. We seriously have laughable supporters. Bring back bucket collections by the fans I say. FFS no wonder why other clubs say we have joke fans, I'm starting to see it myself!

We did ok, especially after the opening games of the previous 2 seasons.

Some room for improvement obviously, but to be fair if it wasn't for Kirkland it would have been a very convincing win.

As for us winning by 6,7 or 8 , Weds should have won 3-2 and that's without the two penalty decisions that went against them. So yes we do need replacement/more options. CA wont get us promoted on his own and with BZ and AJ as the only alternatives, so we do need more. Defensively we were poor, and as someone else has posted on another thread , teams with better strikers would have converted all the chances we gave them.

How many good saves did Kirkland pull off compared to Green? They had two questionable penalty shouts but other than the goal they scored they never hit the target once or forced Green into another save. How many penalty decisions did we have last season that were turned down, we could of stayed up if we were given them all. The fact is we won 2-1 and have 3 points on board. We only need 77 more, yet your still moaning. Seriously what game was you watching? We're you actually at the game and where did you sit?

Henry struggled yesterday but hopefully will come good. Faurling was ok, but struggled sometimes. Can't blame him as it was his first game after a long time.

We need a right winger as Barton could leave anyime. The chances of getting Andros Townsend seem to be limited now after impressing in Spurs friendlies so Matt Phillips would a good choice.

I can see Remy leaving and Zamora on the bench so we need one more striker.

We need a strong CB to replace Clint Hill who is getting older.

Based on yesterday's performance, I think Granero and and Mbia will really struggle in this league and we need to get rid of them.

Some strange posts on here, you do realise that Kirkland made 5 brilliant saves don't you? other keepers would not had saved 4 out of the 5.

This team isn't the finished article, we have 3 more players coming in that will add some quality to the side and 4 leaving that don't want to be here.

Yesterday HR played it safe and picked a side that had a high work rate and chased everything and you can't ask for much more than that.

That was why we was relegated becuase we had no battlers in the side, we have now, and this league isn't about quality but winning and chasing everything.
