At this stage so i not gonna get too excited with today win, if Qpr can beat Bolton and Leeds away this month then i might start feeling more optimistic.

As for sheffield wednesday it look like your team wont be a push over in the championship but it STILL very early days

Big side Wenesday. Will surprise a few this year. Thought they broke fast and had our defence in tatters at times. Best of luck for the season bud.

Secondly, I'd just like to say what a fantastic game it was today. I unfortunately couldn't make it down from Sheffield, but watched it on a live stream via the internet and was mightily impressed by both us and QPR.

The sheer depth of quality you guys have is astonishing, it was a genuinely frightening prospect seeing somebody like Jenas and Wright-Phillips come off the bench for you.

For all his controversy, Joey Barton is a top player at this level and also caused us numerous problems.

But despite all this quality, I felt we made your lads feel like you were having a game. I'm sure many of your fans felt like it'd be a nice routine win for you to start the season off, but fingers crossed you came back from the game today thinking 'You know what, Sheffield Wednesday aren't a bad side'

Anyway, just wanted to come on here and congratulate you guys on the win today, and to wish you the best of luck for the season, apart from the 25th January when you visit Hillsborough!
Honest view would be that I thought you were a classic Championship team - physical, aggressive, well-organised. Perhaps lacked ideas going forward at times I thought, particularly during the second half. Certainly gave us a run for our money. Reckon you will finish mid-table (12th-14th) - probably a bit short of quality for a promotion push. Best of luck anyway - and I must say your travelling support is excellent, among the best in the country.

I tell you what, it's nice to win yeah yeah but Kirkland could of won you that game, what a game he had & Antonio (I think was his name) should of scored

Clinche every game is hard in this league, no team is bad. I think Wednesday will be a strong mid table side, will cause some upsets no doubts.

          Keep up the good work
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

very tall team who were more than physical some of which the ref should have delt with in all honesty.
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

I really thought we would turn you over today and during the first 10 minutes I saw nothing to doubt this but as the first half went on you got more confidence and started causing us some problems. It didn't surprise me that you took the lead but I was more happy the way we responded. At the end of the day I nought we deserved the 3 points but you are not gonna be no push over this season and I thought you played well. And by the way, fantastic support today as always, I have to say you have one of the best away support in the country

tbh, both penalty shouts were not fouls and the ref was correct.

antonio did miss a guilt edge chance but apart from the goal and a post nothing else.

your keeper kept you in the game today but we should have at least put 5 past you. another day hoillet would have had a hatrick and if johnson was a bit more greedy in the first half he would have got two.

we won that game deservedly but we should have won by a bigger margin.

How refreshing to have an away fan come on after a game and actually talk some sense and contribute to a thread without a rowing breaking out. Should be more of this
