  • QPR set to continue spending with move for Matt Phillips

Matt Phillips looks to be heading to QPR, despite facing a further two months out with a broken arm.

A deal that is worth around £5million, including add-ons and containing conditions over his fitness, has been agreed with Blackpool for the 22-year-old winger.

I'm guessing it would mean Townsend's off the table.

I would love this to happen! Sort of player we should have signed last summer. Great great signing if we get him!

          Great news if true!

I think Harry has done really well so far this summer. We've got a load of those that don't want to be here off the wage bill and we're in the process of bringing a good mix of experienced free transfers and exciting young players for a fee. It's great to see us going after predominantly British players too, say what you like about our foreign imports but I'd much sooner be going into a season in the Championship with the likes of Dunne and O'Neil in the squad than what we had last season!

What on earth is booooooom quality?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

How long has he had a broken arm ?
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

A very good player that is exactly the type of player we need.
He will be prefect for Austin as he 9 times out of 10 beats his man and gets a good ball in the middle.

I wouldn't mind getting rid of SWP. I don't buy Ric's opinion of him being a 'nice little chap', what he did at training sticking his fine to himself at training is exactly the attitude we're trying to get away from, sets a horrific example to the younger players.

With regards to Holliet there is a good player in there and I am expecting a big season for me. Another player that needs to play consistent but I think he will cause championship defenders nightmares and should get quite a few goals which is an added plus and something SWP won't do.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'm all for signing potential younger players who have already got a good reputation, but I've personally got my heart set on Townsend because he was everything QPR is about

Tbh I've never seen Matty Phillips play live, what is he like? Direct? Good crosser? Pacey? Eye for goal? Anything else?

                              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                              And many more mistakes
