West Ham pulled out to chase other targets apparently, nothing to do with obtaining the work permit. Does seem odd to go so far into the process and then pull out though.
All I know is he is a big, strong, powerful striker, quite fast tooComment

Blimey Harry. Talk about lazy scouting...... Just hanging around waiting for other clubs to retract their offers and then you think its worth bidding. First Austin and now Zapata, both players who QPR were never linked with previously. I think it might be time to sack your scouting team and hire a back office that actually go to games and watch NEW players in the flesh. You might then be able to build your own team and not just grow one off the back of everyone else's rejects.Comment

West Ham were about to appeal but decided to pull out. Probably has a good chance of gaining a Work Permit on appeal, could state grounds of special talent to benefit the Football League etc. Could happen...Comment
