It can't ever happen because West Ham tried to sign him but he couldn't get a work permit. It is a dead duck i'm afraid.

So how many players have you heard of, that play in the argentinian league?
      Silly boy!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

but it would be just like QPR to bid for a player they have no hopie in signing just to get fans excited!

          Is he better than Remy?

I'd never heard of Michu and he turned out alright.

West Ham pulled out to chase other targets apparently, nothing to do with obtaining the work permit. Does seem odd to go so far into the process and then pull out though.

All I know is he is a big, strong, powerful striker, quite fast too

Has he got a length on him?
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

That's what I thought, in the article it says 'West Ham had started the work permit application before opting to pull out of a deal earlier this week.' - Maybe they just couldn't be bothered with the hassle?

There was a comment left for Harry on that article.

Blimey Harry. Talk about lazy scouting...... Just hanging around waiting for other clubs to retract their offers and then you think its worth bidding. First Austin and now Zapata, both players who QPR were never linked with previously. I think it might be time to sack your scouting team and hire a back office that actually go to games and watch NEW players in the flesh. You might then be able to build your own team and not just grow one off the back of everyone else's rejects.
Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in Colombian striker Duvan Zapata.

West Ham were about to appeal but decided to pull out. Probably has a good chance of gaining a Work Permit on appeal, could state grounds of special talent to benefit the Football League etc. Could happen...

Also just so you know Broomfield is a great scout, has unearthed Sandro etc for Harry in the past. I trust his judgement over a poster on a forum.

Agreed! Some of these foreign commentators are annoying
