I was thinking that, bit of flyer but if it comes off then everyone will be happy, if it doesn't (and it probably won't), it's good PR for Harry and the board!

He looks like a Cristian Benteke light which in all honesty makes him good enough for me!

QPR bid £3.3m for Zapata (Daily Mail)

QPR have made a £3.3million offer for Estudiantes striker Duvan Zapata.
West Ham pulled out of a deal last month fearing they would not get a work permit for the 22-year-old.
However, QPR hope to appeal on grounds of 'special talent' for the Colombia Under 20 international.

I've never seen the guy so it's harsh, but I'd prefer a British striker myself. Hope I'm wrong as I haven't seen him play
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Knowing our track record it'll be more "special needs" than "special talent".

But joking aside, now nothing of the lad, trust Arry & the background staff though. At least he's of a decent age n all - tis a start!
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Shame we couldn't get an english bloke... I though that Rhoades looked decent.

I be honest, I'm worried about this and the 3.3m.

Harry and his team have not watched this lad in real life, other than some video clips and a match on TV a few weeks ago.

We should put this kind of money in Rhoades or someone else that we've seen, this is a gamble from harry.

Rhodes would cost 9 million so 3.3 million is surely sensible !

This guy looks a beast and would be a real handful with that physique and levels of finishing.... Yes please...

i happy with andrew johnson / Charlie Austin for now

Zapata might be good but south american footballers are not very loyal, he wont hang around for long if we do get him so rather stick with british players, defoe is proven in the EPL so we could get him next summer

West Ham were after him which tells you something. Rather him than say Crouch, young fit and has resale value
